    The game is on the shelf till answer found no pleasure in playing it when you know it will freeze on you at some point

    Didn´t I mention before? On my Notebook, running a VISTA System, I haven´t suffered the freezing bug. The game runs a bit stuttering due to a smaller CPU, but it runs. On my "main Machine" with XP Pro SP3 it doesn´t... Could that be any useful hint for JanH & Co.? I hope you´re still working on it, right? Or do you really leave the "minority" alone with their issue?

    Hi fellow bug-ridden co-players, hi dear devs,

    I too have a recurring freezing problem: the game stands still, only alt-del-ctrl gets me control of my pc back. I just had such a crash (after 3 hrs of great fun and immersive playing). So I have a great game, that frustrates me by hanging up occasionally. Fortunately, the hang-ups in my case are random, so til now I could get every mission done. Problem is, the later missions get more complex and with that longer to play, what increases the chance of a hang-up. The current freeze might have had something to do with the NWAC process reserving about 960.000K RAM (I looked it up after the freeze) - I thought that might not be intentional but the source of the freeze? (My machine is moderately up to date btw with Intel 4-core CPU and 4 GB RAM). And I think the freezes in my case are conntected to refueling, as this time, and for sure at one other freeze before, I just had ordered some planes to refuel by right-clicking a refuel-plane.
    Maybe its worth to check the code-area for refueling for some ram leaks or other programming glitches.

    I'm hoping that you will get behind that problem, godspeed with that!

    Let me share my ideas how do I see this situation.

    1- The game, unfortunately, didn't get profit. I bet it doesn't even cover it's expenses.
    2- They have some kind of fight in the company. The person who should be fixing bugs doesn't want to work for free because the company has no money to keep paying salaries to its devs ( or Devs them self have no money ).
    3- JohN is very stressed and this why he doesn't show up here so often. 95% of his work time we was here before the release. Now he's almost gone from this forum.

    You could see Paradox was trying to help guys with massive advertisement ( and sales ) but it didn't work out. I'm sure Paradox as publisher lost more then get from this game too.

    Once again, I'm not happy about it. I like this game and I'd love to see Turbo Games alive and prosper. They might to risk and try to create DLC so to try to cover all the expenses. In this case we might see this freezing bug fixed. Other way I see no way they fixed this bug. Unfortunately I bought this game through Steam and I can demand my refund ( that the Steam rules ) ((

    Pure speculation but, if true, is still irrelevant, IMO. He already took the money to produce a product. The fact that a highly dysfunctional game was delivered means that he was paid for non-delivery. To be paid twice for fixing the problems he failed to resolve upon release is illogical.

    I just got another freeze, just as I was giving one of my NATO refuel planes a "fly to that point" order. I posted in this thread similar problems on the 30-06-2012 (with log-dumps). I think this refuel-plane thing is a lead you should look into; somewhere in there lurks a memory leak I think (as in the current freeze, the nwac.exe process had reserved about 850 MB of memory, seems a bit much...)

    Hi BjornB,

    I just finished this mission (C01S10) that made problems (although that refuel related freeze appeared in another earlier mission also). But here is the relevant info for you: I did not launch any refuel airplanes this time and had no problems with any freeze. I think that strongly suggests if not proofs the idea, that the refueling routine has some kind of bug.
    Although the memory usage of about 850 MB seems normal on my machine, it was like that this time, after all worked out well. I hope this helps some and I'd really like to know if you find something out about that. The logs definetly show some problems with refueling (a loop of some kind I guess), because the same error-info comes up over and over (and over...) again.

    Hi all,

    tried the demo some time ago and eventually bought the game because it was at 5€ on Gamersgate.

    Unfortunately, as happened with the demo, the display freezes as soon as I input like more than 3 orders in a row. The platforms continue to have fun, to the point that the scenario is won, but I just have no more visual feedback.

    With all PC I tried it with, while the specs and OS were different, I noticed that the memory usage constantly froze along the display.

    Not sure what other infos I could give given the amount of details you already received by other consumers.

    I wish you to find what is plaguing your product with such a game-breaking bug because it's masking all your hard work.

    I really like this game, reminds me of playing Harpoon back in the day..

    Anyway like lots of others I can't complete because it crashes all the time on the big missions with lots of units/missiles/sonar buoys.

    I have a HP DV6, core i7-2630 laptop running Windows 7 - 64 bit radeon HD6770M and no problem with any other game, just this one (So it isn't just xp issues as some suggest).

    I've been watching this forum for about a month now hoping for a fix, but it doesn't seem like anyone is actively working on it? (no patches for a month?) Perhaps you are underestimating the number of people affected due to the annoying requirements for posting here? Steam forums and other places have lots more people mentioning the issue.

    I don't usually complain and understand the difficulties in debugging software, but if it isn't being worked on as a priority anymore please let me/us know and I will give up waiting/checking this forum and go dig up an old copy of harpoon or something instead and write it off as an unfortunate bad investment.

    You said it in a nutshell. I bet if we went through their profit and loss sheet you would find something there which is the real reason why there is no bug hunting going on.

    THIS really is a niche market, and how much time and cash has been sunk into this vs the returns they are getting, not including putting a coder on an endless bug hunt 7 days a week. i kind of wish there was a way for this to happen, maybe even get paradox supervision/quality control overwatch. But I won't hold my breath, I just check these forums once every fortnight or so and see the complaint threads growing longer and walk away to play something else like Harpoon (for those lucky ones who DO have an old copy) or something else

    I am not going to say anything more than do not hold your breath on this issue..... The advice that I was given was thus....
