Seriously, looks like you told a 2nd grader to draw out that map.

Well, as we all know, MAGAN MUNDI SUCKS!!!!!
Ehrm. If the game is released, well, I think it's highly unlikely that the map will be changed.
Can you be a bit more specific and actually use realistic arguments for why you dislike it?
What is it you don't like about the map? Is it the projection, the borders, the water, the textures or something else? You are not very specific. I personally doubt the developers is gonna change anything anyway.![]()

It looks very good in the latest screenshot posted in the "Questions to the developers" thread.

Yeah, please elaborate. Basically MMtG had 3 different maps during it's development:
1. Old one, based on eu3:in technology. You can still find it in screenshots section on MMtG website.
2. New one, based on modified DW technology (roughly from November 2011 till April 2012). It had some major problems with borders. You can find it on some videos.
3. The current one, based on DW technology with minor modifications. That's what we use now.
Map still needs some touch, and there were some really nice suggestions, but I'm not sure we can afford such work now.
While I admit it can look better, I don't find it that ugly. Can you tell what you dislike the most?

Please don't show that screenshot. It makes me want to play it even more![]()

The map is fine. It's more than fine! Please do not waste any more valuable work hours on map corrections. Focus on what's important and perfect the map at a later time.
At least the MM map doesn't have oddities like having Sicily to the south of Tunis, like CKII and EU3 do. I doubt a second grader could do such a good projection.

Seriously, WTF is up with all these troll threads "Hurr durr MAGAN MUNDI SUX I"M NOT BUYING IT LOOK AT ME!" Every single one of them is inane and completely lacking in explanation of what it is they don't like. Is there some reason people need to spam useless rants and petty insults of the game? Maybe it's a political issue now...

Here's a vid showing the Magna Mundi map.

Sure, the map could be a lot higher tech like Sengoku or CKII, but personally, I like the map done this way.

I can see where the crayon comment comes from - the choice of colours can be improved a bit (i.e. they are way too intense in the political map). In terms of map, I'd prefer the D&T map, but in overall, the interface didn't look bad (it wasn't brilliant, but not bad).
The colors of the whole game was somewhat strange on that video. Maybe it's because of Arbus' monitor setup. It's darker and the colors are more stronger than on my machine.
