Note this is NOT a game thread yet. IF we can get enough support to do so then I will edit this post into post 1 of a wir and edit the title etc.

We will need enough volunteering of GM to run a 3rd game but this is not sign up time and no pre-signing is taking place either. Sign up will only happen if we get enough GM support. If you can volunteer to help in any way bold that part of your post please. Roughly the sign up would be 15 players as 1900 wir though adjusted up or down perhaps for the start and up/down as the game goes on.

Though there is no hard limit atm there is a soft limit of about 15 and if anyone tries to sign up as some tiny random useless nation you will not be accepted most likely.

Do note that the exact time is open to debate. This is not really run/gmed by me atm I am just starting the discussion here.

Really don't think we need another one. Let's try and get a little further in the other two first.

However, if you are truly set on this idea, I'd suggest starting in either 1790 or 1804, as these would allow for more changes which wouldn't make the game just another 1861.

Exploring the possibility. The battlemaster WiR died just shy of the 2nd update so this is in part a replacement to that one also.

Yes, many of the same players though. A slightly earlier date might work better indeed also to make it a bit more different than the other 2 and to give more chance to change things while still being close enough to "modern times"

I say we truly should vote on the start date. I think we should have 3 WiR's running at one time, if the BM one had actually gotten off the ground it would have been good.

But, take my suggestion with a grain of salt. I've been wanting to play my own game for the longest time. Last time I truly ran a country was way back as the United States in BoP.

Ok irc talk is leaning on 1804 for the start date.


edit: Ok assuming 1804 for the minute I think we would need a main GM, a western hemisphere GM and an asia/africa GM with a 4th as assistant and waiting in the wings to help more later. Then me updating the stats and keeping the first post linked and such.
