    Great game

    Hi,
haven't played this game for months cause of the long turn-times. A thread at AGEODs inspired me to give it a chance. I was so wrong to put this one aside
The turns are of course still a little bit too long. ~4 Minutes is realy an upper bound for me, 2 minutes would be no problem. Anyways, atm I have the patience for it and some free time in the evening. I don't know what it is, but the game generates a 19th century atmosphere, something that Vic2 is missing. The economical system, the military part (aaaah all these beautiful uniforms!!) and especialy the colonial/naval mode, something that is MOST important for me, is just great. Every turn I discover something new: I need to have a exploration party to explore the continents, lovely

Anyways, which side would you prefere (for a beginner)? I played 50 turns with france, but I couldn't get their economy to run, always out of state capital. Now playing Prussia. They lack my beloved colonies, but they have great economy, military and so on. I guess I'll stay with them, but I fear that at one point it might get borring with them.

    Cheers

Good to hear! I did exactly the same thing, then returned to find they had released 1.02, and it was really good :P By the way, as Prussia you may not have colonies but you can attack tribal African nations such as the Tukolor and take Guinea by Sierra Leone and grab some valuable gold. Then once you have gained the ability to declare protectorates, you should be ready!
