well, as i heard AAR is more or less compatible with 1.03 and burning works on more updated version (dont know if this is the update in november you mentioned)

so maybe updating your mod is not a bad decision?
is it much work?

As with any mod it's easy to make it "compatible" by just changing some misc files but with all the new updates 1.03 has to offer it leaves AAR with broken event chains and general instability. It would be best to wait for an AAR update if you guys want me to work on 1.03 version of NARE.

Work on events can continue and they can be tested regardless of whether it is 1.02 or 1.03 so i suggest that work continues on events....

I originally thought that but as I looked into the development of AAR it sounds as though a lot of the event chains are broken due to the 1.03 patch and while we could in theory continue writing our events we will most likely have to go back and change a lot as many of the events and planned events have event triggers from events already in DH. Also, 1.03 creates many more interesting triggers that can be very interesting and creates more situations for events we could implement. My point is, waiting will give the same result with a lot less work.

Hmm although i see the benefit of waiting i think that smaller event chains or singular events can still be written because:

1) The triggers for those events aren't changed
2) These event chains don't overlap AAR in anyway.

Here's a look at an Industrial plan for Rome, I'm planning on having two different paths. The first has a complete story here. It was two long to post on here so here it is.

I really like what I am seeing on that. I'm not so good on Industry paths so this will be very helpful.

So while we wait for AAR i'll start on the small things. If anyone here is a decent graphical artist or knows someone who is then the help will be very much appreciated. The graphical work is completely optional for the most part but it will give NARE it's own little flavor to help help distinguish it from AAR. If anyone is interested PM me. I can't do it at all in a way that will look half decent so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: One more thing. We were originally going to go for mainly a socialist Rome But I had the idea to allow the player to play anyway they want to a point. If someone wants to help give a list of ministers from 1914 to 1936 for different Ideologies that would be greatly appreciated. This is not as important as the graphical work as I could do this myself but I'd rather not if I didn't have to. If you want to help jsut give me a name, their Ideology, Their type (Silent workhorse, Stern Imperialist, etc), and any significant historical information of the guy (If their is any)

Just read through this whole thread, and the fact that there's been no activity for almost a year doesn't bode well. But things happen and projects never get finished, I know how it is. But I guess this does mean there isn't, as of yet, a good Rome mod for DH. I was amazed to find out that is trend here.

I do hope lordmackie and razorbird continue their work eventually.
