In my gameplay i will be mostly reflecting my own style. I will represent the power of the Japanese people and government in this great struggle of ours. My main goal will be the creation of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere the Dai-tō-a Kyōeiken which was a concept created and promulgated during the Shōwa era by the government and military of the Empire of Japan. It represented the desire to create a self-sufficient "bloc of Asian nations led by the Japanese and free of Western powers". It was announced in a radio address entitled "The International Situation and Japan's Position" by Foreign Minister Hachirō Arita on June 29, 1940.

Interesting. I'm bewildered by your choice of videos, though. I mean, CoD cutscenes? o_O

I really like the Call Of Duty World At War cutscenes. I am sorry if its not to your choice of liking.

The AAR Will start when Patch 6 for Black ICE is released due to the patch having vital changes in the game and the asian theater.

I think that the patch has been released recently.

The Patch is out i am starting the AAR on the 15th. The patch was vital because it changed the Asian theater so it was directly involving Japan. I played in Multiplayer with a friend as Great Britain until 1938 my friend took the role of France. The Patch is really stable and the fixes can be seen to prove a good gameplay effect in general.

The first episode is going to be Tomorrow on the 15th.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is that the recording is done and the first part of the first episode is rendered. The Second part has been edited and the third part has not been edited yet.

The first part is 1 hour long at 5.7GB big. The problem is uploading this beast to youtube is going to take me 16 hours so i am going to start asap. After i have uploaded this i will start rendering Part 2 and get that ready when part 2 is done i will edit and render 3 which is going to be the shortest one.

So 2 and a half hours just for 1936. The Fact that i did a newly OOB on camera made the videos so long but i just wanted to show some people how to make OOBs and some basic trics while i was at it.

So hope my connection doesn't drop uploading this 6gb file!

1hr? Outstanding. Not going for quick hits but for the full theatrical effect. Excellent about the OOB's on film. I could surely use a few more pointers for my games.

Its Currently %41 Uploaded Uploading your video. 586 minutes remaining...

The thing is i just make the OOB you can understand what i do by carefully watching it but if you need lessons and have no idea how an OOB is done its not going to help you i am pretty fast doing OOBs. It should be slow enough to understand though.

Oh youtube something happened wrong with the upload... I am uploading again. Uploading your video. 1037 minutes remaining...

Atleast i got Episode 1 Part 2 rendered so i will upload that as soon as part 1 is out.

Part 3 is rendered aswell.

Episode 1 Part 1 is out

Thanks for watching!

PS

There are 2 more Parts for Episode 1. Part 2 is 1 hour long and Part 3 is 16 minutes long.

I would reorganize divisions but the video was way too long anyway if i would do that too we would have 2 hour of a video footage. (It took me 20 hours to upload this so this is my technical limit)

I will reorganise all leaders for air land and sea in Episode 2 Part 1

I will recheck the divisions facing China.

I am going to check my fleet status again because someone pointed out that i have some older ships and they should stick together. My strategy was to mix the older light cruisers with by Battleships and use them as Shore Bombardment fleets.

Outstanding intro. The starting OOB in Manchukuo is a nightmare. Very time consuming to sort it out. The video was an hour long but you did a great job keeping it entertaining. Can't wait for the next installment

Thanks for watching! Some positive review here. Arigatou Gozaimasu! At first i thought i was being boring :D The Footage is indeed long and the OOB is a mess but well we gotta do what we gotta do. On Part 2 the OOB stuff is fully sorted out. I hope more people get to watch this. :)

I'm interested. Your style is unique. However, if you plan to record every little piece of gameplay, then the AAR will last forever!

Only the first 2 parts in Episode 1 are going to be 1 hour long the rest is going to be way shorter. I dont think its going to last forever! I hope not! :D Hey guys i am 59 now we have finally arrived in 1944... :D

It'll only last about 100-200+ parts or so.

I'll be keeping my eye on this.

I think its going to be 1 episode a year so we can say 9 Episodes? So each Episode is 3 Parts. That should be around 28 Videos. If everything goes smoothly.

One small tip i use when first reorganising big messy OOBs is to first let the AI do it. It will often create armies and corps where needed and put divsions into more of a semblence of a command chain. Then switch to manual control and tunnel into the AI commands and alter them to suit my plans. It save time having to manually go through and make sure each divsion belongs to a corps and army.

Hey, I would just like to thank you for your great work :)

then the AAR will last forever

But I thought that was the entire purpose of the AAR... Its title, after is "May your reign last forever" ;) .

Joking aside I found this thoroughly enjoyable. Seeing all those intricacies of setting a nation straight in the first place is also the period that I find, in a sense, to be the most satisfying and to see how someone else achieves this makes this a vital, and interesting, tool to many people. The way you re-organised your OOB is very different to the way that I would approach the same issue, although I am aware that its not really the most efficient way of doing it, I like to delete the existing hierarchy and start from scratch so that I know commanders are appointed to the appropriate places. Seeing someone work around the existing hierarchy therefore was useful as I know have some ideas for when I have less time to fundamentally restructure my armed forces.

Don't feel obliged to shorten the episodes btw, the length is what gives them their uniqueness (even if 20 hour uploads do seem a bit excessive).

Kind regards,
MrGiles
