I am hoping for a battle mode.
The game looks great from the tournament video's that I have watched.
My concern is that the team deathmatch game mode will be spoiled by constant Benny Hill moments where people are running away to allow for their sqaud to respawn on them.
I don't like the spawn on team mate system at all.
There will be a new survey after or in the beta testing for gamemodes and some other things (because more people played wotr) The you can vote agian for you favorite gamemode![]()

I support NIN3 Idea for "Protect the King" Mode but i think the King should be a NPC character.
I think this because if the king is a player we will usually get trolling guys that will give away the kill to the other team or use glitched areas, etc...
Guild wars 2 which releases on the end of august have a World VS World mode (It's like a siege with a lot of castles 24/7). In this mode the Keeper (King of the castles) are NPC and you have to kill them to capture the castle.
In WOTR we could have a map with a castle (Not siege) with some rooms and the other team need to find the king in this rooms and then kill him. The other team would have his position since the beginning of the match.

I think this new idea for a game can be expanded on in a million ways I'm really excited for the future (in my opinion i think that siege will be the best)

Hm, yeah battlemode is kinda neccesary if one would ever hope this game to be big in e-sports. But my guess is that it will be in at a later date.![]()
I agree. Battle mode is pretty essential. Siege and the tourney mode sound cool too. I'm perfectly fine with only two modes at launch, I just hope I won't have to pay for the other modes. That would be the only thing stopping me from getting this game.
Battle mode is a requirement, you will disappoint a large crowd if you don't include that one.
I'm not sure what the player limit would be on a server. Just imagine 100+ players on a field of battle, cavalry charging forth under a rain of arrows.

Thats why its a test server. They try to get to the limits.
But I don't think the game would be able to go over 100 players and such stuff. The graphics on their own are way different from M&B. Even my computer would start to struggle and that means something.



I'm personally hoping that they implement some decent AI. I know that its not the primary focus of the game but I have my fingers crossed.
I've logged hundreds of hours playing M&B's basic campaign mode and I would love a sandbox conquer-the-world type game here where you get to command groups of soldiers. Being able to customize your army's coat of arms and weapon loadouts down to the type of wood in the spears would be fantastic. I would also enjoy AI in multiplayer games so that I could set up my typical co-operative defend the castle vs. waves of bots type games that I enjoy playing.
A mode that takes a page from DOTA and LOL would be interesting too, in which you have AI soldiers/peasant levies that clash in the middle of the map supported by players who are the officers or knights or professional soldiers. Perhaps the presence of an officer near his troops gives them bonuses in combat due to morale, and the object would be to either inflict grevious damage to the other side's levies or kill the officers so that the peasants go into disarray and don't fight as well.
I do enjoy competitive multiplayer games in moderation but in my group of friends, co-operative vs. the CPU games gain far far more traction.
I realize that the above ideas were not originally planned for the game and I enjoy how it looks now, but a man can dream, right?![]()
