    mission type vs. plane type.

Here's something Azedalis made me aware of. Just thought I'd share it with the group, as it were.

like most people, i always believed it when they said that bombers get an extra 10% stacking penalty that interceptors and fighter/bombers don't get.

    guess again.

I ran the test, just like Azedalis suggested. used interceptors on ground attack mission (a new experience in and by itself). suddenly they too have the extra 10% stacking penalty. (4 planes in the wing; stacking jumped from -30% to -40%)

even after all this time, you still learn something new here! don't you love that?

From what source you take that info about extra stacking penalty? Maybe only pure air fleet get this, and mix don't?

I don't believe the rule was that "bombers get an extra 10% penalty", I believe it was "planes that are bombing get an extra 10% penalty".

Run an Air-Superiority mission with a non-fighter plane, and you'll see what I mean.

An improvement to supplies, with (I surmise) a minimal invasion of code and processor power. --sadly locked due to thread necromancy rules, but I'm happy to re-start this discussion if you are--
