I decided to play the other side of the conflict for the new version of MEIOU and after some tactical blunders by the French AI and a fortuitous alliance with Castille I ended up with a decisive advantage. The only province I had occupied was Paris which was enough to fire the English at Notre Dame event on the AI. The AI conceded, changed into Dauphine, and a white peace was forced.
Under any other circumstances I'd be ecstatic that I achieved victory in 1357 but because I was still on the starting war with a Claim Throne CB, having to accept the white peace made me lose 40 prestige, which was all that I'd built up so far. Furthermore, my plans to occupy and have my Aquitaine cores defect, the strategy I lucked into as the French last time, have been ruined.
My biggest concern is that the concession is forced on me. Would it be possible to make it so that the English can reject a French capitulation? Perhaps award the English some prestige upon concession so the slightly-bitter pill is easier to swallow?
Also, since it's now impractical to pursue my cores in Aquitaine through war, is it possible to get them peacefully without having to diplomatically grab all of Dauphine?
