    Keeping Vassals happy?

What is a good way to keep vassal's happy? If I play a king, I have lots of vassels, most of whom are unhappy and I don't have the money or titles to keep giving them things.

Also when you conquer new land you should always check if you have any family members you can give the counties to, as they get a bonus to loyalty (2%/month I think). Try not to give land to rivals or courtiers with loyalty-reducing traits.

I am having pretty much the same stuff. I don't know what to undertake. It's 1160 and I am the king of Ireland (from the legendary O"Brian family) and Africa with the frankish culture and heretic trait. I released all of my 3 duke titles in Africa and I was lucky to be at peace with some money when my good old king died, so I sent some gifts to mydisloyal vassals and somehow I pacified them. BUT, what I gonna do when this pretty bad king will die? I have no duke titles anymore, I am having some lack of money and the most interesting fact is that I am having a powerful sea neighbour emirate of Badahoz, which almost captured all of the Spain and Portugal and some provinces in Magrib and even the small province in kingdom of Wales (which is pretty close to me). Now I am at war with a small independent sheikdom in Northern Africa and I will definitely win but anyway I don't have so much troops to allow myself a full-scale war with Badahoz and they are the target of a current Crusade (the province of Burgos is the current target). Any suggestions?

Make sure that Crusade succeeds =)

If you can, ambush him while he's distracted by the others. Just right click on his portrait and select the head icon that pops up to see his rough location. If you get lucky and capture him, you might even execute him to cause a likely succession crisis which will fracture his empire.

I've won a lot of wars by ignoring the main objective and marching my forces straight to the leader. =)

I think you are referring to something you can do in CK2, this is CK1.

The problem is that the others don't want to distract him. I think they understand quite OK what is gonna happen to them after they will try to "distract" emir.
