I like the idea of an interactive AAR on Japan, Iran, or some other unciv for V2.

EDIT: and after reading this entire thread,I don't know if a merchant republic interactive AAR for EU3 would work too well, and a possible conversion to V2 could easily be a nightmare. I personally love V2 because it allows for so the ideological dissonance among the various characters to really flourish and I don't think that EU3 will give participants the same opportunity. Sure, empire building is nice I guess..... but seeing political movements (as well as individual politicians) rise and fall in V2 is exponentially better in my humble opinion.

I like the idea of a socialist Germany under a SotA/The Presidents-esque system.

Yes, lets just do the same ideas over and over again.

A little self-promotion: my Atlantis mod is almost functioning. The purpose was so it would function as the back-drop to an interactive EUIII AAR. Hopefully some of you will join. ;)

You will post a link here when the AAR is underway, right?

Intriguing. I will keep my eye out.
Just a quick query, I take it we won't need a lot of knowledge with how EUIII works to participate?

No, I'll have house-rules to keep things simple. You guys provide the cast of characters and I will do my best to keep us from being conquered in-game.

I'm ready to take part in an interactive game that isn't months into already. I'll most certainly be playing once you finish.

sounds good. What is the culture of Atlantis anyway (not in-game)? I'm thinking maybe 1/4 Hellenic, 1/4 Etruscan/Lydian, 1/2 original?

I'm not fully sure what you are asking, but the whole thing is original. Actually, the culture I based some of the language off is Basque. The continent is covered by a single culture group, but has several cultures on it. There are also nine new religions and an extra tenth to represent a mix of all of them co-existing. A few states start off with a state God or Goddess, the majority just worship the whole pantheon. I will be posting stuff about it in the first few posts of the AAR.

sounds weighty... you got me hooked

I'd certainly join in your Atlantis interactive AAR. Just, does it require me to have that mod/DW to join in? As I only have EU3 Complete.

However, on a slightly different note, we do need a new V2 interactive AAR. I just noticed Shadow of the Andes has finished.
Perhaps the idea someone mentioned of releasing Venice and doing a interactive with them would be good?

Only if you want to play the mod. Interactive aars involve the players (you) deciding how I am supposed to play. But I am the only one playing (it isn't a multiplayer game). The two have some overlap but for example Andes is an interactive aar, Carnage is an MP aar.
