In light of the recent economic collapse has swept across the world, the United States of America invites all the nations of the world to an economic conference in New York City. We will invite leading economists from across the world to present on matters of fiscal and monetary policy. It is hoped that by bringing together the foremost minds of economic theory, that we may find a path forward in these most troubling of times...
The United States of America would also like to announce that the our Ambassador to Paris has been instructed to attend the Peace Conference in Paris and offer his services as a moderator if necessary. We only hope that the French people will soon be able to experience the bliss of peace and extricate themselves from this horrible war...
Finally, I will once again announce my intention to not run in the 1912 election. I have served my two elected terms as laid down by the founders of our great nation. I will instead nominate Senator Robert La Follette of Wisconsin. I believe that he will be able to lead America down the right path, the path of prosperity and progressivism. The Kingdom of Greece, the Crisis and immediate Measures.
Our country had only recently started the industrialisation and thus the recent hit onto this upstart-industry has been a heavy one. While we are not as affected by the crisis as other nations are, due to our Industry's focus on the domestic market and no massive consumer industry for export, we are still affected and after many special meetings with the King and the Cabinet, i have come to the following Conclusion:
It should not be our goal to stop this crisis as this is way beyond our powers and would, inevitably lead to socialist concepts. We have to work hard though, so that the rise after the fall will be quick and easy. In order to achieve this goal i present the following measures, which will be taken:
1. Bind the islands closer to the Mainland economy.
If we want to assure that the Greek economy can work as best as it can, we need to make sure that all the People are involved, whether mainland, Crete or the Aegean Islands. This will in return increase the labor force and the Capital available for new investments and will enlarge the domestic markets options.
2. Connecting the country.
While this sounds similar to measure 1. , and it in fact is, it is of utmost importance to make the transport of good as quick as possible throughout the country to make our industry more lucrative.
3. Keeping the People at work.
This is a measure which, once again is in conjunction to measure 2. If we want to achieve a high efficiency at improving our infrastructure, we need to use the labor force that is now unused to improve the Infrastructure.
4. Thinking Rational and Stable
Even if we get out of this depression quickly, these are hard times and we all need to remember that we have to work hard, and will be able to demand less. While this is infuriating i wish to remind all loyal citizens, that unrest and strikes will make overcoming this depression even harder.
5. Investing in future inventions.
If we want to assure that our economy will stay strong, we need to be the first on the world to produce special goods. Thus we must continue improving our National Education standards and keep investing into innovations.

The Chilean Government will dispatch an ambassadorial team to this American conference; we hope that this international meeting will help return the world to financial solvency.

The Qing Emperor Ruler of all under Heaven will not be attending the proposed economic conference being held in New York. As this Crisis was not caused by and has not largely affected the Qing Empire he has decided to instead weather the Storm by exploiting China's Strong Internal markets. With the Recent advances in agriculture and possible mining in the interior he feels that the People can generate enough wealth to buy Chinese industrial goods without significantly forcing production lower. Those Industrial facilities which have been closed or forced to reduce production will be re-opened as soon as money is available to do so.

As the pre-eminent nation in Central America, Guatemala will be sending a representative to the economic conference in New York City.
