The United States of America
The United States of America looks back towards Europe and is deeply troubled by the current situation. Warfare in the canal zone was both irresponsible and clearly conducted with malicious intentions. We agree with of friends and allies in the United Kingdom that such warfare was both irresponsible and that the party most responsible was the German Empire. In light of this unwarranted attack on international commerce and on our friend and ally. The United States of America will mobilize its armed forces and will issue a declaration of war against the German Empire. Furthermore we call upon our allies to aid us in this struggle for the freedom of trade and unannounced hostilities.

Answering the call of our allies, and with hopes of helping to defend commerce and its friends on the other side of sea, the Republic of Brazil honours its agreement with the United States of America and declares that a state of war exists between it and the German Empire.

After podering heavily, and considering the call made upon us, we have determined that a state of War now exists between ourselves, our allies againts the German Empire and their allies. The wreckless actions taken by our foes have endangered our trade with the Russian Empire and compromised the global order; seeking to replace it with one shaped for their benefit. Even though we would rather neutrality, it is time for taking action for the defense or ourselves and our way of life. Furthermore, we call upon our allies of the ABC to join us in this most noble effort.

¡Viva la Patria!

Canadians! Last year, when this war was only two regional conflicts, when France was still at peace and the Suez remained undisturbed, we issued a strongly worded message; if you threaten global commerce, trade, and stability, you are surely threatening the United Kingdom and her dominions themselves. This seems to have gone unechoed through the world.

But now the warmongering Germans have responded; they threw our words straight back into our faces, and laughed, for they thought of themselves to be immortal. They won a few battles in the vast steppes of Russia, and have released puny states to legitimize their gains, but I promise to you, the citizens of Canada, defeat will be brought to their doorstep!

With this statement I announce the full mobilization of the Canadian armed forces.

Treaty of Quebec:

Joined in arms against a common enemy. The Dominion of Canada and the Russian Empire agreed the following terms.

-To reduce the trading tariffs between both nations to a minimum of 20%

[X] Signed, Nicholas II, Czar of the Russian Empire.

Treaty of Washington:

In times of need, trade always help to carry the burden, that is why the United States of America and the Empire of Russia agree the following:

-To reduce tariffs to a minimum of 20% to ensure both economies to develop.

[X] Signed, Nicholas II, Czar of the Russian Empire

Upon hearing the news that the United Sates of America has honoured its alliance with Great Britain, the Japanese Empire of the East has decided to declare war on the nation of Germany in accordance to the Treaty of San Fransisco, recently signed by our benevolent ruler, Emperor Meji. The Imperial Navy of the East has been put on full alert and will subsequently begin patrolling Japanese coasts for opposing fleets, and will not hesistate to fire upon them should we receive the chance. That being said, the Japanese Empire of the East has made the decision to not mobilize its forces, as to avoid the harsh economic penalties inflicted by such. However, should the situation ever be so dire, the Japanese Empire of the East has the utmost confidence that her men would answer the call. We wished the best endeavours upon our men, and we are sure that there will be glory to Japan.

I am curious to see if it is just the Dominion of Canada declaring war on the German Empire, or are they representative of the entire Commonwealth as well?

The French Republic, seeking to further the ties with a country with a significant French presence, hereby proposes to lessen the restrictions on the flow of goods and capital, by reducing tariffs to a maximum of 20%.

We would like to ask Japan why they decided to declare war on their so called "protector", this is a truly shocking development of international politics.

As already stated, the Japanese Empire of the East has declared war on Germany because its alliance with the United States of America was activated, due to the recent signing of the Treaty of San Fransisco. Also, the Japanese Empire of the East does not need a protector, since it can hold its own on the battlefield, as it has recently proved.

The World Goes to War

What began as a simple incident in the Black Sea, soon sparked the mobalisation and declarations of war against various nations over the course of a few months. At first, the only engagement was a battle in the Suez Canal, that the British found to be the fault of the Germans. This caused the British Empire, and her dominions, to declare War on Germany, which resulted in all of the British Allies to get involved as well, activating a series of alliances, pitting two coalitions together in a war that seemed ready to claim thousands of lives.

Across Europe, and across the world, the Governments of the nations at war issued calls for mobilization and conscription into the Armed Forces. Thousands flock, or are drafted, into the armed forces. Starting off in Europe, the "Central Powers" of Germany, the Danubian Federation, Romania, and Bulgaria released their numbers to the public, showing an impressive showing of armed forces across the board, with the exception of Bulgaria. [+2,500,000 Conscripts to Germany. +1,500,000 Conscripts to the Danubian Federation, +700,000 Conscripts to Romania, +200,000 Conscripts to Bulgaria.]

In the British Commonwealth, the King ordered a general mobilisation of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, meaning that the Commonwealth Nations would soon follow, setting off a chain reaction of events to bring the fighting forces of the Commonwealth to their peak. Although the United Kingdom's results were sluggish, hopes for future developments were high. [+600,000 Conscripts to the United Kingdom. +300,000 Conscripts to Canada. +250,000 Conscripts to Australia. +3,500,000 Conscripts to India.]

The Allied Forces, barring the Commonwealth, also had an impressive showing, but troubles in the Russian Empire caused its numbers to be brought down due to lack of supplies to hand out. Without Guns or Clothes, the Russian War Department ordered the newly mobilised to arm themselves with as many crude weapons as they, ranging from clubs, swords, farming supplies, anything hard and blunt enough to kill someone. Emergency meetings between the Russian Empire and the French are conducted, trying desperately to get the Russian Empire supplies. [+800,000 Conscripts to the Russian Empire. -3 Army Levels from Russia until supplies received, or 800,000 Conscripts perish. +2,000,000 Conscripts to France.]

Newly raised French Soldiers march off to war.

Across the pond in the United States, the Congress issues a formal declaration of War against the German Empire, because of the attack on the British Empire. President Roosevelt, cautious about his words, decided to try and coax the nation into War, a tricky business in an election year, but his speeches are resounding, and the Republican National Committee pledges to him enough delegates to become the nominee for the Republican Party once again. Thousands in the nation support him, and even his strong stance towards Europe earns him some respect, and votes, in the South. The nation as a whole gears up for war, with thousands of citizens signing up, ready to fight in Europe. [+2,000,000 Conscripts to the United States of America.]

Until a time at which further action can be taken, as a result of the mobilization of the militaries of almost all major European nations, the Kingdom of Spain places its military on PARTIAL MOBILIZATION. Further action will be taken in a short period of time, when the strategic situation can be evaluated by the Spanish High Command.

Any and all belligerent nations to approach lawful Spanish territory - excluding the area of the Strait of Gibraltar, which is the lawful territory of the United Kingdom - shall be considered hostile and shall be fired on immediately. Until further notice, the Army and Navy of the Spanish Kingdom are on high alert, and espionage, surprise attacks, and sabotage on our nation shall not be tolerated.

Alfonso XIII
King of Spain
