[Forum Game] - World in Revolution: 1900

To the nations going to war to to help Germany, know that this will spark a conflict of unprecedented proportions.

We offered the Japanese peace, a reasonable peace, we just wanted Japan out of Korea and a small economic compensation ((500$)) to Korea for the damaged done and the lives lost. Yet Germany, "The Defender of Japan" never spoke about a possible war with Russia to make us back off, didn't even spoke of peace between Russia and Japan, it just waited until both nations confronted each other to jump. An opportunistic nation with lack of honour, they will surely said "we honoured our treaty!" But yet you didn't honour the basic ethic ideas of searching peace.

Helping Germany, will only bring misery to your nations, fathers, brothers and sons will be lost, towns and cities destroyed and relations with countries tarnished for long time to come

Many of you cried that we converted Balkans states into our puppets, now you can clearly see that was just yellow press talking. We tell you, don't be Germany puppets.










OOC: Roundstedt just want this end to finish quickly.
 
We request that the nations of the world stop referring to us as Russia's puppet. We are not the puppet of any nation.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands

Her Majesty's Government finds these recent declarations of war to be terrifying.

Please, why must we all fight over such a far away and insignificant thing as Korea? Why, even, does Germany seem to have an interest in that area of the world? For as long as we've known, Germany seems to have cared less about that area of the world, yet now they seem all too willing to endanger the whole European continent with the threat of war over something as insignificant as this.

Regardless, Her Majesty's Government has no intention of going to war on either side, however we do declare that we are now mobilizing and are now entering a state of armed neutrality.​

The Czar Nicholas II, watching how all the world goes to war, offers the following peace treaty to Japan, in hope to solve the crisis and avoid a Great War.

-The Empire of Japan and the Empire of Russia return to a status quo ante bellum

-The Empire of Japan is allowed to make the Empire of Korea it's protectorate with the promise of not annexing it or treating it as a colony.

We also hope that if Japan agrees this, Germany and Russia can declare peace and further calm down allies from both nations mobilizations and threats of war. With this agreement, we hope a peace without victory or defeat to everyone, thus showing Russia intentions of world peace, and not warmongering tendencies as some people claim.


OOC: I'm doing this for the sake of everyone, i don't want this game to end in 2-3 turns.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands

Her Majesty's Government is glad that one of the parties is taking it upon themselves to end this madness before it begins.

Let us hope that our German neighbors are not completely daft, lest they plunge Europe into total war regardless.​
 
Avoiding this war escalating into perhaps millions of casualties is a noble goal. However if mobilizations are all progressing then it might simply be too late to avoid the fighting from beginning and once that happens the war could take on a life all its own. Japan getting general control over Korea seems to be a foregone conclusion as well, though outright annexation might be avoidable.
 

The Kingdom of Greece is pleased that Russia has taken it upon them to value the lives of Thousands of men - partially not even Russian - over the interest of their Nation

We ask the Great Powers to overthink their Policys - going to war over Korea mobilizing more Soldiers then Korea has Population, will that be worth it for this chunk of the World?

The United States of America​

The United States of America is deeply disturbed by the current crisis in Europe and the looming potential for a war that will claim more lives than any other. We implore the nations of Europe to reach a lasting peace, one that cannot be used as an excuse to start another war! The United States of America would also request that all involved nation respect the sovereignty of neutral shipping.

The Kingdom of Italy warns that if any of the Balkan nations take any belligerent action against Albania, a state of war will exist between The Kingdom of Italy and that nation. ​
 
The German Empire hereby recognises the nation of Albania as a fully independant and sovereign state.


Further, the German Empire will respect and not interfere with neutral shipping. The oceans shall remain free.
 
As France has remained neutral in this crisis, I request only the PARTIAL MOBILISATION of my armed forces.
 
The Empire of Ethiopia will be almost fully mobilized but not completely. Like in a state of war, but during peacetime. As if training, but seriously.

Citoyens de France!

Germany has again shown itself as a menace to stability in Europe. Their dreams of subduing Europe under their iron heel are translated by their vile war of aggression towards the Russian Empire. They are a strong people, as only a strong people could have bested France 30 years ago, even if we were led by an incompetent and tyrannical monarchy, and so they must not be underestimated.

Thus, I launch a patriotic call to all French, to work harder, to be united, and to show Germany that France is not to be trifled with. Germany has increased it's regular forces to 400.000 men, and have just mobilized millions more, leading to the now partial mobilization of the French Army. The mobilized recruits will have an opportunity to train, to further boost the strength and elán of our glorious army, but they will not be alone, for as they train, so will the entire French people work in the fields, in the factories, in the mines, in the cities, in the docks, in our colonies, and all work towards making France truly great, to stand proud amongst the nations of the world, and say, there is no finer nation than ours!

The Germans may propagandize their equipment, claiming it to be as superior as they believe themselves to be compared to the other peoples of Europe. Yet, such arrogance will be their downfall, as we French have the courage and the fighting spirit to overcome all obstacles, if we stay united.

The French Republic declares an immediate and complete embargo to the German Empire, and urges all civilized nations of the world to do the same, to force Germany to abandon their attempts to conquer Europe. If that does not bring the Kaiser to the table, then other actions might be required, and we must be stalwart and ever vigilant.

Last, but certainly not the least, we announce our full support to the Russian stance in negotiations regarding it's current conflicts, we urge Japan to accept the Russian peace terms, and we again express our profound hatred of the German intentions for proceeding with the war, and our gratitude to all those who are working to make sure those intentions do not come to be. And now, let us sing...

Since the founding of the Empire 31 years ago it has been mine and my forefathers earnest effort, to preserve peace in the world and to promote our rapid developtment by peaceful means. Yet our enemies begrudge us for the success brought by our hard work.

All open and secret hostility from East and West, we've so far accepted with an awareness of both our responosiblity and strength. But we are now about to be humiliated. It's demanded that we sit on our hands while our enemies arm themselves for malicious attack. It wont be tolerated that we stand in firm loyality to our ally, whom is fighting for their reputation as a Great Power, and whose humiliation will also result in the loss of our honor and prestige.

And thus it has come for arms to decide. In the midst of peace, we have been attacked by the enemy. Arise Germany! To arms! Any unsteadiness and hesitation would be treachery to the fatherland.

The very existence of our Empire, one which our fathers founded anew, is at risk.

The very existence of German might and German nature.

We will resist to the last breath of man and steed. And we will prevail in this fight, even against a world of enemies. Never has Germany been overcome, when it stood united.

Forward with God, who will be with us, as he was with our fathers.
