With the entry of the United Kingdom into this continent-ravaging war, I can only hope that the belligerent nations are now willing to come to Madrid to begin talks of peace instead of talks of conquest and death.

I am extremely honored to have been re-elected as your Prime Minister. Under my leadership, I will listen, respect and acknowledge your opinions, ideas and needs as we move forward. Our great nation, has had a recent economic boom due to the success of our last term and we hope to see it continue as we watch are mighty men go off and work to make Australia a better place for all of us. Australia is and will always be a peaceful and safe country for as long as the earth turns but over the past year that is not happening. Immigrants we have brought to this country are thieves, and outlaws! We cannot let this happen as Europe has gone into another war, we must allow more people in to not just benefit the people but to benefit our nation. We will make tighter and more secure checks on which immigrants come, so that future and current Australians maybe live there lives in peace and harmony.

Today, I fear to tell you that our Mother country Great Britain has declared war on the Empire of Germany. Which in turn means we must fight along side her and the other Dominions against the vile and selfish foe! From this today, onward the Dominion of Australia is at war with Empire of Germany, and we will be contributing to the war effort. With the new naval vessels acquired from Great Britain we shall be transporting 18,000 men overseas to His Majesty for the war. Some of our factories will now be producing war materials such as munitions, weapons and other goods. We also call upon our men to enlist in a great cause against a war mongering empire which has been oppressing his peoples and invading many nations! Not only do we call upon our men, but we also call upon our women to join in nursing ans auxiliary crops for the great cause! People of Australia we fought bravely hand in hand in Asia now we must help our brethren in Europe, onward to victory!"

Brazilian people, it is with pride that I mention the changes during the past year on our country as we walk towards prosperity and equality. I can say that the continuous growth of our country is ensured and capitalized as new cities are erected on our interior, helping us cope with the recent influx of immigrants coming from war-thorn Europe. The new cities not only help alleviate the overcrowding issue but they also create new jobs and aid our expanding industry, while helping us avoid social problems that could have originated from the bad distribution of our population across the coast. With this breathing space we may better prepare ourselves for new waves of immigration, allowing our coastal cities to benefit from the increase in population while directing some to the interior, allowing us to find new resources among other endeavors.

A big leap toward equality was given when the right to vote was finally guaranteed to our female population, which is a milestone towards more modern times where equality conquers the waves of racism and prejudice.
Meanwhile we have achieved great success on expanding our auto industry, managing to create a solid foundation for which to work so that in the future Brazil can count with a powerful auto manufacturing industry. Experience from our current ventures on the field will be useful in the future, as we expand to be one of the biggest producers of automobiles in the world.


Moving on to the international scene i congratulate the government of Venezuela for their victory, and hope that the peace all agreed on will last on our continent, let us not emulate the Europeans on their apparent love for war.
On the mention of Europe, with the signing of the treaty of Bahia we can reconcile with the french government and resume trade while not forcing our involvement on their affairs, we officially recognize the United French Communes as the lawful government of France.

Do not take this wrong, while we resume cordial relations with the french, this does not means we have any love or support for their ideology, believed by us to be failed. However, i can say that the french claimants in Africa are no better, they have tried, and failed, to emulate the italian ideology, Totalism, yet another oppressive and failed ideology that opposes democracy. I do provide a warning to the Nationalist french movement, since the government recognized by us has conceded the territory previously known as French Guyana to the Brazilian Empire, we request that you remove your military presence on the region and hand us over the sovereign over the territory, lest we be forced to take actions to protect the local population and our lawful rights to the land.

The Empire of Great Wu

The Empire of Great Wu, holding the ever Holy Mandate of Heaven, would like to praise and thank the King of the Italians, who has released control of the Island of Hainan back to the Empire of Great Wu, we hope that this will stand as a lasting and great improvement of relations between our two nations.

Moving towards Domestic Issues, the Empire of Great Wu has been shown to hold the Mandate of Heaven, with the Government of the Great Wu being installed along the Guidelines set out in the National Constitution. While Corruption still is a problem the Empire of Great Wu will have to continue to deal with, we shall work daily to ensure that it becomes efficient and a good representative of the Chinese People. Along these lines, I, Emperor Ha of the Empire of Great Wu, announce that Tang Shaoyi of the Chinese Conservative Party has been elected Premier and the transfer of powers has been official. He is aided by Sun Yat-sen of the Chinese Nationalist Party, who is serving as Prime Minister of the Empire of Great Wu.

Our construction of Railroads in Southern China will greatly benefit the nation in terms of Economic Might, and ability to respond to events that demand the attention of the Empire of Great Wu. We have no doubt that this is the path forward, that Industry and Railroads, the things of Western Civilization, are the path forward for the Empire of the Great Wu, for the Benefit of the Nation and the Chinese People, we pledge to work with these things and use them to move us forward into the future.

In regards to the things happening on the International Scale, we understand that several countries have Ports inside the Empire of Great Wu, administered by other nations. It as such, that we warn any nation, be it from any side, that an attack on the Empire of Great Wu, including the areas that are administered by other nations, shall result in the full and unilateral Declaration of War against the offending nation for attacking Chinese Soil without any warrant, other than another Flag flies in that small section of Land, and the people in the Administrative Buildings speak another tongue than that of the rest of China. The Empire of Great Wu shall keep her forces on High Alert, ready to respond to any of these attacks from any nation.

On a final note, the Empire of Great Wu is pleased to announce that this year we shall be focused on the New Economic Reforms, a package of reforms that shall deal with the Economic Problems that plague this nation, and is restricting us from moving forward. That is our unofficial motto, shouting from the top of every Chinamen's Lungs; "Move This Country Forward!". We have done all of this together, For All and not just One. We are so far from Done, the Empire of Great Wu is on its way to higher ground! We shall move Forward! Each and every day! We shall keep the Great Wu Empire Moving Forward!

The Dominion of South Africa

For these past two years, the world around us has changed dramatically, and though many of us do not realize it, these changes will affect us, now or later, for better or for worse.

I will make no dishonest statements here in an attempt to win political favour. I will not show a fake modesty. I believe South Africa has made the right choice in electing me, as well as my new Deputy Prime Minister, for another term. I believe that I and my colleagues in the United Party are the best suited to help guide this great nation through these turbulent times. For it is united we must stand, and if we are divided then we will fall. This is a truth that is unmistakeably self-evident to all of us. United, then, we will stand, as we brave the chaotic future with a new, shining optimism and a need to do that which is right.

It should be no surprise to you, then, that I announce that we must take a solid stand on the discord of Europe. We have been called upon by His Majesty's Government in London to aid them against the German Empire. It is our duty as a Dominion of the Empire to answer the call. Thus, I hereby announce that the Dominion of South Africa is at war with the German Empire. I know that there are some of us that would prefer that we not be entangled in the affairs of a far-away continent, and to some extent I sympathize with this notion. However, the facts remain that we are a Dominion of the British Empire and are therefore obligated to aid the Empire when we are called upon, and that anything that happens in Europe will ultimately echo here. It is possible that, if left unabated, the Germans could destroy the very foundations of the modern world economy, dooming us and the rest of the world to economic ruin. I will let you decide whether or not that is a worthy enough cause to involve ourselves.

Stay steadfast, South Africans! Without unity, we will have naught but failure!

On behalf of the people of Canada, I, Robert Borden, officially apologize for the callous remarks I had made in a prior speech to the nation. Many in the international community are listening intently, wondering whether this great conglomeration of cultures, languages, backgrounds and beliefs that we call Canada will remain a united and free state. Even now, there are those who, feeling that the Canadian national government no longer represents their interests, are seeking complete and full division from their Canadian brothers and sisters. These activists have brought up legitimate complaints regarding the national government's supposedly "anti-French" public policies and shall be met not with steel but with the respect and dignity on the part of the national government. Let those seeking complete separation from the Canadian people first come to the capitol so that the national government might redress the qualms keeping Canada from complete national unity. Together we can overcome any domestic issue and press onward, to global preeminence. To prove my dedication to the preservation not only of national unity but also of several distinct and valuable cultures that cumulatively make up what it means to be Canadian, I will officially resign my post as Prime Minister of Canada, leaving the nation in the capable hands of my longtime ally and good friend, the former minister of commerce, Christophé Archambeau.

I myself shall serve my nation as the minister of economic development and will, for as long as the Canadian national government deems me able, travel throughout this great land, improving infrastructure and efficiency while promoting the sustainable yet, God-willing, considerable growth of our domestic economy. I shall use only a modicum of funds to actualize my goals and will rely heavily on the support of homegrown millionaires to invest in these projects. Thank you Mr. Borden! Thank you people of Canada! Together, I am sure that we can unite as one under the banner of our great nation and continue to pursue excellence in all that we do as individuals, and as a nation! As one, we march onward, arm in arm, to the beat of the same drum! For Freedom! Pour Liberté! For Canada! Pour Canada!

Nation, our brothers in Europe are in dire straights. Barbed wire and bombshells litter former farmlands. Once towering buildings are now little more than rubble. The young men of France die by the thousand while the rest of the world looks onwards in disgust. Whether we Canadians uphold the basic tenets of socialism championed by the French or, instead, trust in the power of the free market to bring prosperity to those most capable, we must stay strong and unified in our response to the terrible war. France is torn between two ideologies and, if our nation, and in particular our ethnic French, begin dividing on these same issues, only hardship and conflict can ensue. As we Declare war on the German Empire, we must remain vigilant and mindful of the national discourse, lest internal strife bring the mighty Canadian bear to its knees. The Canadian military has been placed on high alert and will dutifully protect our shores from German aggression. We hope that our native French speakers will act not only as fighters but also as translators and doctors on the western front, where their knowledge of the French language will help bring about the cohesion of allied forces.

Oil is quickly becoming the main source of energy in our modern world. Fortunately, our continent has plenty reserves of this good, with the production rising every year. We are now aware that it is an activity that demands a considerable amount of both capital and knowledge.

For the past few years, our state owned oil company, YPF, has been carrying operations in Venezuela. In the spirit of regional cooperation and entrepreneurship, we present the following treaty to boost the operations taking place there, for the benefit of both nations.

Treaty of Maracaibo​

The below signatories hereby agree to the following terms:

1 - A new company, Petroleos del Maracaibo (PM), shall be created. Its ownership stake will be equally held by the Argentine company, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) and by the Venezuelan Petroleo de Venezuela (PDVSA), both companies acting as agents of their respective governments.
2 - PM shall be granted the right to explore and drill for oil in the area in and around Lake Maracaibo, as well as to construct a refinery in Mene Grande.
3 - YPF promises to make the necessary contributions of capital, machinery and knowledge for the construction and operation of the refinery within 2 years.
4 - Ownership of the existing fields and facilities in operation in Venezuela shall be transferred from YPF to PM and considered as part of its capital.

With the signing of the Treaty of Buenos Aires Venezuela has relieved itself of an aggressive neighbor that has caused nothing but trouble in the region for the better part of two decades. It is the hope of the entire continent that the end of the war will mark a beginning of peaceful cooperation with the people of Colombia that may benefit all people of South America.

Juan Vicente Gómez had stepped down from the Presidency in the month leading up to the war in order to assume the position of Commander in Chief of the armed forces. His placeholder replacement Victorino Márquez Bustillos held no power of his own, but Gómez respected the separation of government and military, at least on its face. With the war over Gómez would need to return to his position as President.

One of the provisions of the Treaty of Buenos Aires stipulated that democratic elections were to be held in Colombia. At no point during the negotiations was Gómez singled out by others for the lack of democracy in Venezuela, but he could feel the unspoken accusation as the democratic participants fussed about the democratic future of the surrendered country. Gómez himself held no love for democracy and saw it as an unnecessary hindrance to government, but he was willing to put on a show for his international friends.

It was announced immediately after the signing of the Treaty of Beunos Aires that elections would be held for the bicameral National Assembly. The Assembly would then chose the next President of the country. With all political parties and unions banned, political agitation illegal, and utterly nontransparent election procedures the outcome would hardly be in doubt. Still, it would be the first election (however stage-managed) in the country since 1898.

With Gómez stepping down from his military post he would be replaced by two hand-picked successors that showed great potential during the war with Colombia. Eleazar López Contreras would assume the position of General-in-Chief and Isaías Medina Angarita would be promoted to Divisional General and assume command of the 1st Army Infantry. The two men would be charged with implementing the lessons that have been learned from the war with Colombia.

Even before the formalities of returning to the Presidency were complete Gómez begun a reform of the way petroleum exploitation was handled in Venezuela. Previously, the government would hand out rights for exploration and drilling to domestic or foreign companies while insisting on a large ownership stake. This created an incomprehensible patchwork of small companies that either owned rights but didn't exersize them, or competed with one another over a tiny area of land when huge deposits laid unexplored nearby. Gómez announced the creation of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and the transfer of all government ownership stakes to the company. This by itself generated a lot of consolidation in the industry. Secondly, PDVSA would be required to maintain an ownership stake in all future petroleum operations in the country, ensuring that all private investors dealt with the same company. And finally, the company would immediately form a partnership with the largest foreign operator - Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales - and begin the construction of a refinery on the shore of Lake Maracaibo. All together these steps would ensure that the petroleum industry in Venezuela develops smoothly and efficiently instead of the haphazard manner that has characterized it for the last few years.

As the Commonwealth goes to war so do we. This is more symbolic though as no young men are expected to be deployed anywhere to attack the Germans. We have to keep the development going internally and the combined navies are the first line of defense in a war as well. As was done elsewhere, The Dominion of India declares War on the Empire of Germany.
 
After warning the German Empire to sit down and talk with it's rivals about the future of Europe, our words felt on deaf ears and war carried on by the German war machine. That's why the Russian Empire hear by finds itself in a state of war versus the German Empire and the rest of the Central Powers. May this war be short as it can be. The Russia that fought in 1901 is no longer here, we have been building and polishing our army and navy for the day that Germany would hunt the world again.

Regarding other international matters, Russia would appreciate Armenia to step in into this glorious crusade to save the world from a Germanic hegemony. If so, such efforts shall not be forgotten. This will bring Armenia closer for it's goal of a united Transcaucasica.

The land trembles, for Russia is going to war.

Europe is truly on fire, and this war has now escalated to a world war of sorts, with vast empires and vast armies pitted against one another in vain conflict; once this war is over, their will be the totalists and the communists, and tyranny and authoritarianism will continue without German Imperialism (as the odds are stacked heavily against the German Empire). When the last rifle is fired, the last cannon blasted, and the last ship sunk, all that will remain is death and suffering, and Europe will have to rebuild.

The Republic of Chile implores the other, still nonaligned, nations of the world to remain neutral and uninvolved in the conflict; the goings-on in the Balkans are of no concern to Iraq, and a naval blockade of Germany will affect Armenia only slightly; however, to join the crowned heads, or appointed leaders, of Europe down this bloody path of destruction will lead only to more war and more conflict as power plays and arms races grow even more deadly.

The Republic of Chile firmly hopes that the leaders of these belligerent nations can find their way to Madrid and bring this war to an end before any more people are killed or left homeless and destitute.

People Of Transcaucasia,
I stand before you today in the gravest of circumstances. There is a massive war in Europe, and we will be joining the Russians in an attempt to make peace for all. The government of Russia has made us a deal for a united Transcaucasia in exchange for our entrance into the war. We will take this deal. Now, I call on all patriots, Georgian and Armenian, to fight for our freedom, and freedom for all of Transcaucasia. We are now in a state of war with the Central Powers. To our soldiers, I make but a humble request. Fight valiantly, and make our nation proud.

The German Empire will not accede to the completely unacceptable demands of the so called Allies. The escalation of this war is on nought's hands than those of the Allies. The British, who dare call us warmongering oppressors even when entire people live and die under their boot. The Russians, who seek nothing but to re-annex the lands they lost in the last war in which, if they needed reminding, led to the complete and utter destruction of two Russian capitals and the near destruction of an entire Russian generation. Clearly the Russians must enjoy being destroyed repeatedly by superior German soldiers. You may call us warmongers but we sought peace with the Italians and the peace we offered would have concluded our war with the Italians with the status quo ante bellum. There was no chance they would have accepted. They lust for the lands filled with Italian-Germans that do not want them.

The Allies accuse us brutally occupying Bohemia-Moravia but we have treated the citizens of that area with nought but the utmost respect. The Italians on the other hand have immediately committed violence against the local populations of the areas they occupied in the past year. One brutality of particular note was inflicted upon a village that was occupied following the Italian offensive into the area before German troops could secure the border. On the 22nd of February the Italians received a tip that the village had contributed a large amount of men to the Italian-German Bundeskorps. The Italians responded to this news by sending a detachment of the RCIA to the village and systematically destroying any structures in the village, including the ancient church. The RCIA then proceeded to drive the civilians from the former village and their now destroyed homes. The civilians fled, and retold these happenings to German authorities following the re-establishment of German control in the area. We will not stand for being accused of brutality when we do nothing of the sort, whilst some members of the Allies directly perpetrate violence against German civilians.

We accept the National French offer of an alliance against the Red hordes that have seized power in France. We hope that our co-operation can lead to the death of the Red Hydra in France and the start of amicable relations between Frenchman and German.

Do not worry my people! The Kaiser has led us ably through one war of this sort before and a damnable depression! He will never fail you! Heed his call for the full mobilisation of the German Empire! Stand fast against our enemies and rebel elements! The Czechs, the Communists, the Italians, the Russians and the Briton will all quake before the might of the German Empire! Gott Mit Uns!
