My few suggestions=

-Tweak the AI so that minors / midgets don't build dozens of Interceptors, just 4-8 squadrons.

-Reduce the amount of resouces a bit, there seem to always be plenty of them.

-Check what happens after Italy surrender event: they stop researching after a while. Problematic when they surrender to the soviets.

-No ministers and leaders for England, Wales. Too few for Vietnam.

-Add option (event?) to never build any nukes.

-Make Japan AI more aggressive - they always stall in their pacific campaign.

-Create some civil war events for Greece, Italy after ww2.

-Free French forces are too strong and they also get a LOT of resources.

-Increase initial research speed by 5-10 percent, I never am up to date in 1945 even with majors, even researching at 180+ %.

-Tweak the division strenght option for some strong minors - I've seen Hungary and Romania having 30/100 strenght divisions,
it gets annoying with countries with few leaders like Thailand.

-Add some tech teams if possible.

Hi all,

I wonder why KMS Tirpitz and other Kriegsmarine ships belong to SU while sinking SU ships now and then. Problems with enemy recognition after switching sides? But AFAIK they didn`t change sides, i e no DDR or anything.

And Romania switching sides, why stalinist monarchy with almost no stalinists in the government? Especially as the closest SU unit at the time was east of Ural. Actually Romania became Allies co-belligerent without changing political system and IIRC a communist coup had to be staged after the war to take over. There are many more such totally weird surrender/side switch results.

Dear dev(s), I strongly suggest leaving new features for the future(even if it be IC 2) and clean up your act first. IC is really great already, make it epic by adding even more historical plausibility.

Same thing with Bulgaria. How about a Socialist France?
As CCCP I've often reached Paris while the Yanks only held Brittany or Aquitaine,
after DDR release my French territories stay red with high partisan activity and a messed up supply system.
The Liberation of a Red France should be an option.

+1 for that!
How about a gradual partisan decrease combined with an increase in certain provinces due to certain events / factors?
e.g. in mountainous provinces the activity should be higher.

Hi all,

an event for Finland switching sides if at war with SU/Allies while keeping its sovereignty should be included. This is what actually happened summer 1944.

And if SCW ends in a peace between the State and the Republic I think the Republic should be able to declare war on the State. As a democracy with 0 belligerence they can`t. Mortal enemies shouldn`t be able to co-exist perpetually.

Mexico should perhaps have territorial claims on the USA, while Finland certainly should not have any on the SU as per the peace treaty of 1921.

Does it mean, You guys have now access to arma source and ability to somehow patching it ?

We always had the license and the source. The team added some changes/features with each patch

I thought, IC was just like a huge and complex mod with no hardcoded stuff added, but it's not true. Well this is quite a good news and now i realize, why arma devs aren't interested in patching.

Maybe I should ask some questions to make things clear:

1. Currently, in terms of new features, balance and performance, which game (Arma/DH/AOD) do you think is better for Iron Cross?

2. Is it possible to license AOD and DH in the future? (In fact I don't know what getting a license means technically. Is a license only for one developing team?)

3. Are all the Arma-only new features never seen before in other games? Or some of the new features have been present in either DH or AOD?

Great news!

There are my suggestions:

- Finnish province Savonlinna appears double with word - SavonlinnaSavonlinna

- Plan Z torpedoes brigades are not visible. If save and reload, then visible. If not and add another brigade (radar) they disappear.

- Ability to increase / decrease number of divisions in production panel?

- Units choose to walk through provinces with highest infra, which is sometimes wrong as they often go around hundreds of Kms.

- Convoys and Escorts are way too expensive, Escorts seem useless.

- Italian Navy does not build any big vessels - mainly DDs.

- Lots of countries don't build big ships for their navies, even Japan. There should be more cruisers!

- Japan AI needs to do better in the pacific.

- Tech research % speed should be a bit increased for player (about 10%), I always stay behind in research even when researching the industrial techs last.

- Surrendering to the soviets in eastern europe should not mess up borders that much.

- Events to create new puppets?

- Infra in Germany seems strange, most provinces have 100% but major industrial centers are at 80-95%. (Same in britain?)

- Free France seems overpowered.

- There are too many resources, I almost never am worried about them.

- Spanish state's navy and airforce sometimes disappear when in Axis.

Arma development is finished. Iron Cross is the natural expansion (Hoi2 -> Doomsday -> Armageddon -> Iron Cross). We are patching and adding changes.

Personally, IC-Arma is the best option

No; DH,AoD and IC are different projects

Yes, only in arma-IC. Only arma-IC have a lot of new features (we need explain better all changes)

Hi all,

re surrender events in Europe and creation of the Iron Curtain. I suppose that the Teheran and Jalta are implemented too stringently and according to historical outcome. But not always plausibly. And I`m aware that FDR seems to have felt a personal obligation to Uncle Joe to compensate SU for their self-inflicted sacrifices. So:

- have a chance that the Allies don`t agree that the war will continue till Germany surrenders unconditionally. Allies may then announce that a peace with a DEMOCRATIC Germany(and Italy) is possible... This would open a new event chain re internal development in Germany and re relations with the SU. Probably no Jalta.

- have a chance that Jalta agreements(if there is a Jalta) re free elections in Central Europe are honoured. If say US annexes Bulgaria they stage elections and maybe Bulgaria won`t be stalinist. The farther SU troops are from a place, the bigger chance for this to fire.

Have a chance there will not be a mutual aid agreement between UK and SU after Barbarossa. The "Let the bstds bleed each other white" event.
Less Lend-Lease to SU if any, no UK and Commonwealth contribution at least.

Chances for this events to fire should be small, but they are not out of the blue. IIRC UK planned for an attack on the SU from 17 Sept 1939 till Barbarossa.

Hi again,

make it possible to liberate nations even if the "legal" owner of the provs in question is still alive and kicking. With consequences of course...

Maybe sale/exchange of conquered provs should also be possible even when the "legal" owner is still around. Would be cool anyway...

The very first time I played Iron Cross I was overwhelmed with the amount of new territories, in a very pleased way. I then scrolled across the world to check out my real life home town......then I was very disappointed.

I was born in a city call Binghamton in New York state. In this game someone bungled it and it is named "Brig"hamton. Also durring the war it was home to IBM and Endicott Johnson so it deserves 1 industral point. :)

Are you ever gonna add the AOD-only revolters to DH and Arma version?

It should also be known that I can still find many files related to these nations in the DH and Arma versions(ie: ministers, techteams, leaders), so what's going on here?

im waiting for the new patch please I never got the events for confederate states so i just do 1933 start with 100percent dissent which turns usa in to 5 or so states.... adn usa goes to 1 or 2 province

I had made a suggestion about a couple of years ago... which is quiet difficult to implement:

Is there any possibility that after a dramatic government change (shift to fascism/communism) there will also be a different leader pool?

Because I cannot imagine Antonescu, Patton, Mannerheim or Tojo joining the communist cause...

...nor Voroshilov, Tito, Ho chi Minh and Velouchiotis fighting for King and country!

And please change cabinets more often - It's not nice to see same government in a country for years.

Latin American countries have lots of events,
but is there any reason to see Kyoseivanov ruling Bulgaria throughout the game?
He should be dead by then...
