Just tried like 30mins ago...still no-go...
"Smarthost" is a configuration setting, refer to the documentation of the email-server software you're using cause its done different in respect to which server you're using...
In short a "smarthost" in SMPTP servers just means: Use this server, the configured smarthost, to send all outgoing emails through like a relay/proxy...
Its normally used to send from within a LAN to the outside, but todays global internet sequrity guidelines require you to use your ISP's SMPTP server to be able to send emails using a private email server.
Most big SMTP servers on the internet and those used by many ISP's all use a global blacklist to block emails from normal consumer IP#'s to fight the spam caused by them...
A lot of these servers also use digital signatures to verify that they are talking to an approved, by that server, email server...
So its very advisable that you configure your mail server to use your ISP's SMTP server for outgoing mail...
Sorry for the technical mambo-jumbo here folks
*edit*
Here is some info on wikipedia about it...
*edit2*
I used my own email-server to activate my account on your wiki, so my problem is solved...
