    Brazil in Africa?

Just a weird observation but Brazil just declared independence...from NORWAY... in WEST AFRICA Next to the Canarie Islands...

Being an iberian culture, shouldn't Brazil break from me in their traditional land? or can different countries pop out and rebel anywhere?

It happens very often. As much as UPCA appearing in North America or Venezuela confined to a small insignificant island in the Caribbean. At least for me.

And, american countries can break free from any colonial power in their actual or historical lands.

And who take care about historical lands in America? Do Norway colonize South America, and from it break free such countries? No. So all this rebel factions in America are just contractual. Because why some country in North America cant call it self as "Colombia" from name of Genoa captain who reach to America as third in alternative history. Get rest guys with this "historical correct". Because such thing end with year you start game - from it start alternative line of history. If I need "real history" I take history book.

Brazil often spawns there since its capital location makes it the closest colonial revolter.

I'm not really complaining about historical accuracy, I agree with you that this game is supposed to be some kind of alternate history line after you actually unpause.

My complaints are about the "United Provinces of Central America" spawning at the Great Lakes, or Brazil spawning in the grain coast, or La Plata spawning at Colombia. These countries' names are based on the actual geographic place they were supposed to be. And I do agree that "United States of America" or "Colombia" can spawn anywhere in the Americas as for that matter. And I don't think it is even possible to fix such subtleties. I'm just pointing them out.
And I don't care if the culture in Brazil is Burgundian or Flemish or Norwegian, either.

    I agree with Orlov.

I mean Brazil was named after brazilwood, so it does not make any sense to be in West Africa. This system should be reworked in EU IV.

I had Canada revolt in St.Kitts, it seemed so pathetic I let them go free and eventually vassalised them. The mighty nation of Canada confined to one small island.

This is the nicest colonial evolutions I've ever seen. (I had to release Brazil from Portugal though).

I own all of North America so there's nothing interesting up there. Quebec spawned on some random useless arctic provinces near RL Northern Quebec.
