Units didn't start from airport anymore

Very strange. Have you noticed this at any other time or was it a one off event?

I guess some graphics assets could disappear due to some other problem. If you have just launched an aircraft and it doesn't turn up on the map, try to left-mouse-button drag an area around where it has to be and see if the missing units turn up in your list of selected units.
