Question for the experts regarding playing offline

Hi all really liking NWAC, ran into a small problem. Steam did maintenance yesterday and now germany users cannot login, support thread says they know and are working on it for what thats worth. I see in other threads people say you can play offline. How? Please explain in detail what must be done. I am home from work with a slipped disk in my back and playing has helped me to pass the time. i also really enjoy this game any help would be appreciated thx

I have not tried it with NW, but usually you can simply start the exe out of the steam folders.

Tried that it still tries to connect to steam client.

I turned my internet completely off and managed to play the game fine. Once it tries to connect to Steam and can't it should go into offline mode.

Go online - Launch the STEAM program (you should have the icon on your desktop - Click Steam (top left) - Click Go Offline (second line)

It should work, and every time you switch on your computer, click the offline button when you see the relevant message. However it's necessary to connect to Steam at least initially. Hope it will be useful.

No chance this time.
As long as you haven't set steam to offline mode as long as there was a connection to the steam servers you can forget about playing. Even if you force steam to start in offline modus you will get an error because no account informations are found.

Only solution is starting steam via VPN...

Yup thats exactley the msg i got i guess that PAYING for a service, ie. steam, doesnt mean you can use it anytime you wish, something the guys that made this great game should consider. Wonder what happens if steam says sorry germany you cant connect anymore do i get a full refund i wonder?
