First, I would like to soothe the worries of His Imperial Majesty, Joseph II. The Republic of the Seven United Netherlands has neither been involved in the recent protests in the Southern Provinces, nor does it condone them. I would like to point out, however, that it had little to do with religion, but rather politics. Regardless, it does not matter.

Anyhow, I would like to announce that the progress that we are making in reforming our system is wonderful. Should we continue at this pace, we will truly be a United Netherlands in no time!

The United States of America

Over the past year we have achieved numerous victories over the oppressive British foe. We have liberated New York, gained the support of our Northern brothers and defeated the British navy.

However, we must not stop! The war has only begun and the British have shown what that they will do anything to to defeat us proud americans. Not only have they killed our innocent citizens, they are now hiring Germans to fight us! Obviously they are too scared to do it themselves!

Lasty, we thank Spain and encourage other forign powers to send us supplies and goods which we can use to defeat the vile British.

The United States of America has the right to send a diplomatic delegation to Whitehall for consultation on foreign matters

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and the United States of America will levy no tariffs on each other’s goods, and regard all goods from the other as internally made,

The United States of America will continue to make use of pound sterling (£),

The United Kingdom of Great Britain will transfer 2 large ships and 4 small ships to the United States of America to help establish the Untied States Navy,

The United Kingdom of Great Britain will transfer 25 gold to the United States of America to compensate for any loses casused by General Howe’s actions,

General Howe is to be tried in Boston for his crimes.

In France, the Monarchy institutes a new taxation system that is supposed to root out corruption and kick-backs, but the aristocracy refuses such changes and the reforms die, leaving no changes and an upset aristocracy. [-1 Stability from France.]

However, more soldiers are recruited for the army, in order to bolster their strength. But several loops cause all the members of the current army to be fired and not allowed to take a government pension. [+10,000 Regulars to France in 3 turns. -10,000 Regulars from France.]

An expansion of the Navy is called for, but due to lack of funds it is shelved. France also offers incentives for people to develop a new weapon, and it is moderately successful as it fires faster than the current French model. [+1 Army Level to France in 1 turn.]

In the United Kingdom, Lord North is removed from power, and instead Pitt the Elder has been instated in his place. Pitt the Elder, an avowed friend of the colonists, starts to send money to improve the colonies from the war and to repair all the damage done. [-20 Gold from UK. +20 Gold to US.]

Furthermore, money from the United Kingdom for rebuilding is sent, on top of the money sent by Pitt the Elder, and arrives in Boston Harbour. [-25 Gold from UK. +25 Gold to US.]

However, the action began once the United Kingdom declared War upon the Spanish Empire, with the intent of capturing their colonial possessions. When the British Soldiers were allowed into the many American ports, to strike at the Spanish. The Americans met them with food and drinks, and most notably, rum and other alcohol. Most of the British soldiers became drunk before they were to be shipped off. In the middle of the night, all the British flags were lowered and the American flag shot up on all the flag poles. The British soldiers were captured, put in jail, all without a single shot fired. The Americans asserted their independence and renounced the treaty. General Washington was hailed as a hero, as he was the mastermind behind this plan. [-10,000 Regulars from the UK.]

For such a horrible rout and the impact on the British Empire causes the people to simply lose all faith in the Government. The King, badged by such an embarrassment, steps down from the throne to try and bring stability back to normal. [-2 Stability from UK. KeldoniaSkylar Removed from Game.]

The government of the Dutch Republic was overthrown after trying to implement more constitutional reforms. Members of the landed aristocracy felt threatened by the idea of a popularly elected lower house, and established a new Monarchy. [Seek75 removed from the Game.]
