Future of the game and modding

Way back in the mists of time it was stated that the developers would be happy with players modding the game, initially this did seem to be the case, however in recent months questions to devs posted in the user modifications section have either been answered by well informed modders or totally ignored, there has been no response from devs or anyone seemingly connected with CO.
So my question is, are the devs now against modding, or have the modders reached a point at which we are stepping on CO's toes and this is the reason we have no longer any communication with the devs.
If this is the case just come out and say so, as I and many others have no wish to cause CO any trouble or end up in the situation that has befallen other modders and ended up embroiled in some seedy legal action.
All we have tried to do was improve the game or add features etc that had been requested by the community in general and by doing so make the game more interesting and therefore more popular.
I think its time that CO restated their position on modding if only to clarify the situation and relieve the unease that is being felt by many modders

I suspect its more a matter of priorities. The game has been out for over a year now and CO have to divide their time between CiM (DLC content) and working on other projects (their next game, maybe). Responding to tech issues and fixing bugs probably depends on Paradox giving permission, and funding, for those activities (co_martsu recently said gebbiz is still monitoring the tech support forum). I doubt that CO pays much attention to what goes on in the User Modifications subforum anymore (if they ever did) and so may not have seen the requests for information.

Our opinion about modding hasn't changed, we have been for it since the beginning. Unfortunately we don't have or have ever had the resources to work on the mods. I'm sure there are very capable guys in this community who help other modders out. Surely you can ask modding related questions, since gebbiz might be able to answer some of them. However, we will not write any code, review or try the mods ourselves. I hope you still keep modding Cities in Motion though, I think you've done an amazing job!

EDIT: The questions for the devs -thread is still alive, so I'll see what we can do.
