Ruĝa Krepusko v(0.04)
In 1848, revolts by the working class burst holes in the traditional structure of Europe. Soldiers mutinied, and refused to crack down on the strikes, riots, and uprisings sparking up across Germany, Austro-Hungary, and France. Seeing his Manifesto coming true, Karl Marx called for the rebels to unite as one force to liberate the poor and oppressed of the world. The Great Proletarian Revolution, as it was called, enveloped Germany and Austro-Hungary, crushing the old order and building a new one. The Marxists quickly swept into East Europe as the Winter Palace fell to a march of red flags. They then turned west, joining with French revolters. By 1851, all of Europe had been swept up in the Marxist revolution. From the Urals to Iberia and from Istanbul to Dublin had been united as the Proletarian Union of Europe. Karl Marx, prophet of the new order, assumed leadership alongside his longtime ally, Frederich Engels. After bitter competition between German and Russian communists on where to establish the new capital and what official language to adopt, they finally compromised on the Polish city of Warsaw to serve as the heart of the Revolution, and to agree on Esperanto as the official language. The Marxist forces swept into Siberia and down through Asia, aided by peasants and workers. However, they met bitter resistance in the mountains of Central Asia. African rebels decided to adopt the Marxist revolters' ideas, following the anti-imperialist school of thought. Unfortunately, when the African Union joined the Communist International, some African ideologues noted that the former colonialist system from the European empires had been replaced by a new system where African leaders now take orders from Warsaw. The red tide slowly flooded the world, reaching every corner and island. General Secretary Marx set up Proletaria, a global system to administer all regions and balance their power so they do not overpower Europe. The political ideology that followed became Proletarianism, which was continued by Marx's successor, Engels. After Marx and Engels died, Karl Kautsky, the "Pope of Proletaria," ascended to be the leader of the Supreme Proletariat, ruling the world through the power enjoyed by the Communists in Warsaw. But the absolute orthodox interpretations of the Communist Manifesto and Capital seem to be failing outside of Europe, and Warsaw's control over the globe seems to slowly be weakening. Reformists headed by Vladimir Lenin look for a way to renew Communist hegemony, but will it be enough to halt the counter revolution?
