How high can Stewardship go before the variable breaks?

My current King has a personal Stewardship of 66 and a state Stewardship of 95. Note that he's a "Misguided Warrior"... so he gets no Stewardship boost from Education.

How high can it go? If the Devs used a signed single-byte integer for the variable, it will break beyond 127. An unsigned single-byte integer can reach 255 before breaking. Two-byte integers or floating-point numbers are effectively unbreakable without cheats or file editing.

Does anyone know the scope of this particular variable?

I havent tried to notepad it nor abuse Amass Wealth beyond reason, but it would be fairly easy to notepad-test it with 130 and 260 values for the sake of making sure it's not capped so low. Beyond that its not worth testing, I mean, if you seriously need more than a few hundred points of Stewardship...

I can do it for you if you'd like, would take 5 minutes. But given you're well an old reference in the community I'd be surprised if you didn't know your way around any Paradox save file

Its a decision. As long as youre broke (less than 200 gold) and you dont have the Charitable trait, you can theoretically abuse it by constantly picking that ambition over and over. Personally I never do it more than a few times on each character, but the potential for a 'legit' character with 100 Stewardship by the time he gets old is there given an high-value realm or a superb anti-pope.

Yeah... I could certainly edit the save; but I'm trying to test it in-game.

You get +1 Stewardship each time you complete the "Amass Wealth" mission. If your income is over 50 gold per month, you can complete the mission once or even twice per year, and each time your Court Steward collects a tithe, you get enough money ($370 or so) to instantly complete it. I've just recently gained three more points of Stewardship in a six-week period, by lucking-out on tithe collections.

    It's been done occasionally.

It qualifies you for a special line in your signature:

Non-Aggression Pact with Blue Emu until March 30th, 2017.
