maybe make special event for Germany to start 1918 offensive?
if I choose "start offensive" - i must defeat France or i will lose war in autumn 1918
if I choose "go to defence" - i won't have anytime problems with Revolution

I've been checking this mod out lately. It's pretty cool, but something's buggin me at the moment. I've been playing as Japan, and shortly after WW1 ends I get this event heralding the 1920's that promptly bricks my production speed for province improvements, which I don't like since I badly need more IC. What's more.. the AI seems to not have this problem, as their IC base continues to grow. I had gotten pretty close to rivaling European powers in this regard, and now i'm lagging horribly behind.

Is this working as intended? When is this supposed to end? :(

It's designed to prevent IC from ballooning out of control.

And it kinda makes sense. After WW1 most countries were trying to reduce the size of their military-industrial complex, not increase it.

It doesn't make sense for every nation (Soviet Union, China, Italy (I think)), but it does make more sense for Japan, especially if it is a democracy.

That still does not explain why the AI's IC keeps growing. If I am supposed to be handicapped, so should the AI.

I defeated Germany by marching Berlin in 1917, end of March as Russia. The other nations did jack all, I took military control and forced them to march!

Now I released Poland and made them into a puppet throughout the war, same with Danzig.. The revolution seemed to be starting, I put troops all over my nation (after the end of the war, Germany fell, then Austria, then Ottomans, then Bulgaria was annexed by the Brits before being made their puppet.) Now it's 1918 and I get a message the Bosh' (Lenin) failed to start the revolution, does this mean there won't ever be a Soviet Union? Did I kinda screw myself over by .. playing well? I plan to defeat Hungary and Annex them, and then attack and defeat The Kingdom of Serbs, the Romanians and the Czechs (who already gave me half their land) and make a Slavic Union.. But I had hoped to do so as the USSR, no longer possible then?

Well that makes sense...
How would Lenin be shipped into Russia if the Germans couldn't get him into neutral Finland? There would be no sensible way for them to do that and if the Russians were winning, that means less dissent and more rallying around the Tsar.
It would be really neat to have support for a "victorious Russia". Plenty of opportunity to reform or continue stagnation. Also, involvement in the peace plans would be quite interesting. Would Russia have supported Yugoslavia's existence? Would Russia have allowed an independent Poland formed from German/Austrian land, or would it have wanted those lands? What would Russia do to the Ottomans once they were finally slain? What of the expansion of Japan's influence? Would Russia have been the gendarmerie of Europe and stomped on the communists in Hungary? So many possibilities!

Have you tried using 'Freedom' and shifting your sliders to Authoritarian and Left?

Basically by winning you bypassed the chain that led to the formation of Soviet Russia.

Couldn't agree more! My only shame is that I won like a month or two after the Czar had fled, I had hoped to win with my initial leader and not Alexander Kz.. whatever his name is, the guy that replaced the goverment atm.

I /did/ get messages about how a new Military (Land) Chief has come, and he wants the current head of state to step down so he doesn't answer to anybody. I tried to invade Romania/Czech/Serbs but the Czechs have an event that puts them at peace, so that's difficult.. I decided to invade Persia again. Western Europe has been granted mercy for fighting in the war by me, as has Japan as they send troops to my lands to help me out.

I don't know if it's nessesarily a bad thing that the USSR wasn't formed, but I know IRL it got Russia to industrialise.. However I got a bigger nation now as I got quite the conquest and ongoing, so maybe it won't matter. :) Thanks for the answers.

Edit: Turning all my sliders so it's Left and Authorian makes me a Leninist with him incharge, but that doesn't make me the Union. I'll continue to fight the war as my victorious Russia, I should be proud imo. :)

The Soviet Union became after all, I released Slovakia and Socialist Republic of Romania as puppets so my dissent increased, I annexed Persia and I had freed the Bolshevik prisoners when I was given a choice.. They took over now. Not sure if I should continue to play like this or go back and try to keep Russia as Russia.

Edit: I am starting to think it may not be a bad idea to let the Soviet come, I kind of want (a real russia) there as the one with the Czar, not a replacement provisional goverment. Which event is the one to release the Bolsheviks? I already had it but maybe if I trigger it again the USSR will be born after all.

Edit: I loaded back and decided to go the USSR way, but without as much drama as it would normally be. So I took an laternative route to letting the USSR become, even after Lenin failed his first attempt. I will make a new safe too. Thanks all.

Maybe this is already covered, but I've tried playing as the US and regardless of whether the war is over or not, the only election event I get is 1916. Nothing happens in 1920 or afterwards.

Also, is there any plan to update retirement dates of the leaders? I like that the ministers go away accurately, but it's a pain to have the same mess of generals and admirals continue to kick around.

Those needed recoding after the latest update.

IIRC builds are being worked on with the corrected events but exams and things are slowing progress.

Also Limith i am working on the final election series for Weimar.

Sounds good. My finals end in May 17th. You should get it in before May 24th though cause I have a 12 week internship that will probably take most of my time after June 3rd.

So I got back into this mod and decided to do a Russia-Soviet game, and Germany and A/H destoryed me I had the Commies take over in late 1915, is Germany just supposed to be able to crush Russia that quick or did I just screw up really bad?

Germany is a bit OP at the moment. Generally speaking it deploys just enough to the Western Front to hold back the Entente and throws EVERYTHING else at the Russians which tends to be a bit more than the Russians can handle.

Trying to get a compatible Historically accurate 1918 save for the use in this mod is proving to be a nightmare because of this.

Ok got another issue, played as Italy this time and the Germans KO'ed France by 1915 , I am I doomed now, is this supposed to happen or did just get one of those very unlikely games where the Germans win?
