No one visits the multiplayer board--so I'll ask here: do you guys like the multiplayer of this game? I absolutely love it, best time I have ever had...besides sometimes getting all the events when playing as the same nation.

It always crashes for me, with many out of sync errors. So... nope. I don't have much fun dealing with that.
ive never played multiplayer. ive seen AAR's about it and it looked cool.
Once I figured out that my friend and I can use skype while playing, It is now my favorite way to play. There are so many fun ways to use cooperative startegies.
Its fun to play nations that will inevitably have to deal with each other at some point, either through wars or through other means, while competing for global influence, fighting each other where sensible, and containing powers we both generally agree are being bad. For example - me as France and he as Britain, ending our war against each other to go make sure that the USA doesn't go too far south into Mexico or make the CSA win... just interfere in stuff thats not our business, then get right back to hating each other.
I love multiplayer in all paradox strategy games.

Never tried it. How does the pause functions work with multiple people playing, game speeds etc?
Anyone can pause, but only the host can change the speed.

The core game still suffers from major balance, plausibilty and game play issues, it's unlikely a strong MP community will emerge until those issues are resolved.
