Railway station in San Francisco

It seems that CO had planned a railway station in San Francisco, but eventually removed them and for the mission it was replaced with 3 random buildings...
The only station I could think of would be the Caltrain one.. but since trains aren't that important for US transportation (unfortunately?) I guess it was removed for that reason. But why the random buildings I guess?

Yeah, I noticed the lack of Caltrain as well. I think they might have run out of space for the tracks leading to the station. It's hard to imagine how they'd squeeze them in.

Well, technically GCT in NYC is missing a couple of tracks too ^^
