Forcing vassals to follow through on betrothals...

I gave my heir a city to run while he waited for me to die and his future wife to grow up. Now that she's of age, however, there's no way for me to force through the marriage and the two don't seem to take initiatives on their own. Any work-arounds? It would make most sense if betrothals to characters outside of the player's control go through unless the parties dislike each other too much.

I recall a couple of other complaints about this, and don't think there was any resolution there either. Try the search maybe, or bug reports.

You might also be able to do something in the savegame itself, but someone else'd have to tell you what
Unless otherwise specified; everything I write is IMHO.
