Q: Does the game allow for Cooperative gameplay against the AI?

This game reminds me a lot of Total Annihilation - which I loved - except for the drop in / drop out gameplay - which I think is pretty nice to have in a game that is only online. My only fear is that its purely pvp, which I realize is a draw for some, but completely turns myself and the friends I play with away from a game.

Hi, my name is Rasmus Davidsson, Game Director for RED Frontier. I just got back from GDC!

A: No, not in it's initial release. RED Frontier will be multiplayer only, possibly with the exception for a short gameplay tutorial - preparing players for multiplayer games.

The reason to this is quite simple; we want to focus on one thing and getting this one thing as good as we even can.

Pity. Still - here's hoping that the game does well and you are able to add cooperative gameplay at a later time.
