During a Great War(and sometimes otherwise), countries mysteriously were removed from my sphere. For example, Switzerland was in my sphere; during the Great War, I looked and it was then in the German sphere. Later, it was in the Chinese sphere! Is this the result of the "Enemy of my enemy" event?

Also, the dismantling event for the UK fails to fire if it becomes England.

I've no way to know for certain, but "Enemy of my Enemy" can indeed do that.

Seems like a weird outlier, but I'll take a look.

I think it's because the dismantling of the UK has a specific set of code, so if it switches to England, that code's condition of tag=ENG doesn't apply.

They should still get the generic dismantling event even then. The only way I could see something disrupting it is if other wargoals caused the UK to turn into England prior to the dismantling event occurring... theoretically the flags should carry over, but maybe not. Only thing I could perhaps do is prevent the England decision from firing while the dismantle flag is present.

Still-- really rare outcome. Unless my guess on the cause is off the mark.

Well, I made the UK release Dublin, Scotland, and Wales, and I signed a separate peace with them; they immediately became England.

Then what I assumed happened is indeed the case. Restricting them from using the decision while the dismantle flag is in effect, then, will mean they won't become England until after the treaty event occurs. Hardly something that's going to happen everyday, but yeah-- I can change that.

It seems impossible for the Taiping rebeliion to win(from the 1836 start), because even if they end up with more troops than China, all the substates join in the war and quickly crush the Taiping armies. I know allies are not supposed to be called during Civil Wars, so is there a way to prevent the substates from joining?

Nope. Substates join wars automatically. I'll see if I can't buff Taiping a bit.

If I implemented the neutrality modifier for Switzerland, sure-- not certain I want to do that, however.

How do you implement the neutrality modifier? Also, colonies besides Liberia were a no no. The American government were heavily against becoming a European style power with colonies. I'm just wondering if i could make the US and Swizz AI not attack anyone. Except of course for the Mexican territories like New Mexico,California, Texas,Utah and such. Also I saw the US conquer Morocco

I'd just like Americans to get their borders as they have bassicaly today and the Swizz to, you know, stay swizz.

It'd be the perfect mod if it had these two things.

What about the invasion of Hawaii, and the Spanish American war? I would say that they should just be prevented from attacking Morocco, thats pretty much the go to unciv for any country.

Yes, but those places were pretty close to the US. Is there anyway demand concession by the US to Algeria/Morocco/Tunisia could be prevented? Some sort of event like the siwizz neutrality one.

I would just prevent them from taking any province in africa, it can be limited in the cb_types file.

I don't know. I'm skirting a fine line here with regards to the purpose of the mod-- which is to introduce new nations and add events which help bring about new nations or which are related to those new nations. I've already added events that don't really fit with that goal (mainly because it was easier to bring all my events over from PDM than pick and choose), but if I go too far down the line of restricting AI and such then I may as well not call this the New Nations Mod and instead turn it into... something else.

So I'm not really interested in adding anything for Switzerland or modifying the behavior of the USA, to be honest.

Hey guys . So Im lookin to try a Prussia play through and my general strategy is to rush Denmark to grab the German cores and free Holstein as a puppet. However when I fired V2 up and tried the NNM I found the Prussian cores missing, however German Empire cores exist. So do I have to form the German empire first or should i just grab the state/ puppet via justification/war goals?

Schleswig-Holstein owns the German cores; you have to sphere it and have it not be a puppet, so you can just justify a release puppet CB against Denmark.
