Well, I have time and could play tonight, but considering my pervious history with the Perm I am not sure I am wanted...
Alfonso doesn't seem interested in continuing the campaign (he very subtly hinted at the fact he prefers playing something else), so a new permanent player would be more than welcome.
Allright, I definitely can play today, about other weeks I have to see, could someone bring me up to speed which, if any, countries dont hate my guts? The whole italy/france/austria situation just looks terribly explosive, so any explanation would be very helpful.
To be succinct:
France and Italy are long time lovers, Austria (now played by Manchester) has recently joined the threesome: a recent war involved the Ottoman Empire and these three powers — the Turks meant to hinder France and its merry club from getting Lubeck, from the Hansa (who is unquestionably the largest Asian power). Putting this last war aside, the Ottoman Empire has supported both France and Austria in the distant past: collaboration doesn't seem impossible.
Russia and the Ottoman Empire seemed to agree on most matters. Poland, an old Ottoman ally, has (heroically) ceased to exist.
Some (the French and Austrians) have called the Swiss "British lapdogs" — the truth isn't too distant from that derogatory label. The Ottoman Empire has recently provided access to Swiss armies and navies, so that a mutual defense could be coordinated: it obviously proved to be ineffective against the combined forces of the Austrians, French and Italians. The Ottoman Empire surrendered and had to provide military access to the three sisters.
The Ottoman Empire's greatest weakness is the absence of a navy, despite its long coast line. The diplomatic situation is otherwise reassuring.
Wazzul suggested that we edit both Portugal and Spain, to make them more appealing for Troxbox and mVd. I agree, do others? And if so, which edits would you propose?

The gameday isnt rly good for me anymore. I hoped that the game would finish before I become unable to attend to it. This is my favourite campaign so it kinda feels bad.

- Prestige set zero for Spain and Portugal.
- Inflation set to zero for Spain and Portugal.
- Several Portuguese cores removed (as requested).
- Blasphemy, Suffragan Bishop, Anti Piracy Acts removed from Spain.
- East India Trade Company flag removed and Rayong reassigned to Spain.
Since Sid didn't show up, and Manchester decided to go outside and pick daisies … we've taken the healthy and democractic decision to end the campaign.

Thanks for a fun campaign chaps. I enjoyed it as Russia, I know I made a few mistakes particularly around Westernising but otherwise was ok.
