I was in my room showing a friend how wonderful this game is, playing as the Duke of Flanders. And suddenly it fell on my head, my land torn apart by pure evil, peasants screaming and running around, chased by the Devil and dying in flames. I wish i was listening to Black Sabbath at that moment . My friend and I got so much fun reading the event description and following stories, trying to take the rightful decisions.

I think it has convinced him to buy the game. Thank you Paradox ! We need more madness !

I got it in the demo, haven't seen it yet in the full release. I hope it stays relatively rare. I loved that event.

There's a count in my Apulia>Sicily game who has a modifier "walled up the gates of hell". I suppose this has something to do with that?

I got it near the end of a full playthrough of Norway (started 1066, even happened in 1400 something)

and then I got it almost immediately in my next playthrough which was Hungary

Had it as King of Sweden around 1150. It was actually quite interesting because one of the solutions was to sacrifice my first-born son -- i.e., heir to the kingdom. I checked the event code afterward and near as I can tell it's just supposed to be some random kid from the court and I got the cinematic choice. I got the priest to exorcise it, which worked, all the time picturing King Bagge telling the chaplain "You spend all that time blatting on about Abraham and his son and God not wanting human sacrifices any more, now LIVE UP TO IT!"

Got it as count of Naplia, Filled it with gravel then the pesents thought i was insane for doing that and had some - peity modifier for a few years.

I saw one about some hell pit forming and they kept asking me about and I kept saying it was just a hole until fire and demons started spitting out... so we fed it cows and I got a message saying something like "we fed the evil hole cows and it went away!"

Nope, as far as I know there's one about a mysterious book (quite frequent), and one involving child sacrifices and black magic (never seen it, but I've read about it).
