My character is friends with the Caliph! Unfortunately, we don't share the same religion, but luckily he's not some crazy super important religious leader.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: convert the Caliph via friendship event (reload as many times as neccessary) take a screenshot, then with the might of the Caliphate behind you proceed to do the same to the pope.
YES. This is something that must be done. The second part might be tough though, as it looks like the Pope is being kicked out of Rome by some random Byzzie vassal.

Also yes, the Slavs won. Specifically the Khan of Pannonia, who was elected Khagan next(They still use Elective Gavelkind for some reason even though they're reformed and feudal).

In 779, Gabriel I 'the Wicked' Inherited the Emperor title, but he was currently the King-level patriarch. So i guess the empire is now a theocracy.
Michael currently has a -210 "Too many held duchies" with all of his vassals (he's at the 50/50 vassal limit and they all hate him).
He's conquered bulgaria and crimea. And he's a huge pain in my ass with embargo wars all the time. Even when I manage to butter him up with my Chancellor he dies and is replaced by another old fart.
I haven't seen a civil war yet in the empire. Shouldn't there be one soon with all of his vassals hating him?

Perhaps his vassals hate him so much they start factions for EVERYTHING and keep their power spread out lobbying for different wars, ensuring no one will actually declare. Truly we are dealing with a genius ruler...

That's strait FPS levels of small unit badassery right there. Just shy of 20:1 odds... Those two light infantry should probably be promoted.
