**Suggestion thread:** What would you like to see in a patch 1.3?

A command to change the name of specific (named or random) divisions, and especially a command to remove a division's name and let the game pick a new name from the nation's names list

type = rename_unit [country = tag] which = [unit id type/named unit/land/naval/air] where = [unit id id] [value = new unit name/ignore field for one from the csv file] data = [a boolean for the behaviour if there are more than one unit with the name - change them all or just the first one]
Land, unit and air for all units of that type

A variable (eg -4) for "the last unit created via command" for the various commands relating to units, like locking them

New Israeli minister:

ymXKR.png

Bechor-Shalom Sheetrit
A kibbutznik, always looking out for the underdog, who served in various positions of government from the Great War till he died in '67.
He was a pretty cool guy!

Minister of Security;Bechor-Shalom Sheetrit;1914;1964;SD;Crime Fighter

Also you should change Ben-Gurion from social liberal; he was a socialist who launched a revolution so he should be LWR (or SD at the least)

Please make Hungarian HoG Gyula Gömbös de Jakfa die in 6th October, 1936 in cancer. In the game he never dies, so I have to play with him till 1963 or when USSR annexes me.

I also think that the few Hungarian DH-players would also appreciate if you could make events for the HoG changes in the form like Hjalmar Schacht's resignation. (if change, then +1 dissent, if you keep the old, then maybe +3).

To make your job easier I am writing down the Hungarian HoGs and their time in the office.
Gyula Gömbös de Jakfa (1th October 1932 - 6th October 1936, died in cancer)
Kálmán Darányi de Pusztaszentgyörgyi (till 11th May 1938 - was removed by Hos Miklós Horthy)
Béla Imrédy de Omoravia (till 16th February 1939)
Pál Teleki de Szék(19th July 1920-14th April 1921 -removed by HoS; 16th February 1939 - 3th April 1941 - commited suicide, as he didn't want to choose between Germany and the Allies)
László Bárdossy (till 7th March 1942 - was removed by HoS)
Miklós Kállay de Nagykalló (till 22th March 1944 - was removed by Hos under pressure by the germans)
Döme Sztójay (till 29th August 1944 - was removed by HoS)
Géza Lakatos (till 15th October 1944 - at this time HoS Miklós Horthy was also forced to resign by the germans)
Ferenc Szálasi as HoS and HoG till the end of the war

I think that the ministers like HoS Miklós Horthy, HoG Pál Teleki or Miklós Kállay weren't fascist (IMO paternal autocrats), as they were the few people in the cabinet who - under secret ofc - fought for ending the war and banned the right winger fascists and nazis from the hungarian parliament.

3. Dunno if it was mentioned here before, but the TP ships seem unsinkable in WW2. If I move them without any other supporter ships, they can be attacked by any hostile ships, they won't sink because they always keep 200km distance and no one attacks. With this trick, I can easily land in Norway or England without using any battleships.

Oh, man, we don`t need definitions of Weathering or articles about Orientation of buildings. We need only historical ministers and events. And of course playable scenarios (1933 scenario is unplayable). Is it so hard to read about terms and dates of death of ministers? Should we really see Lenin-Zombie in 1943 playing USSR?

I appreciate your work, realy. But trust me, one good 1933/1936 scenario is worth more than two or four 1944 scenario.

For last 10 days I played 1933 scenario several times. And I always had to fight stupid uprisings in prowinces like Cyprus, Jamaica etc. 120 % IC is not the best thing to see in `34 UK then you play GER.`

You get a harbor in Athens if you play historically.

Hm... This makes me wonder if a German TR appears in Athens when Greece is annexed. I don't know, and I can't check for now.

hmm England U73 can have extra cores on Wales maybe also a communist variation flag.

Portugal could have an event for helping Franco in the SCW.

Another random idea that has arisen from my obsessive micromanagement of naval assets. Repair mission. Not to actually increase the repair speed at all, just so that I get a notification when the ship has reached a certain level of readiness and the mission ends. :p

In a similar vein, a notification when a fleet returns to port due to damage, because I like to maintain a naval reserve and swap ships in out and out of "repair fleets" in an effort to keep my patrols up constantly.

More events of course ahistorical options too.You can code the ai to make historical moves just like the ones which existed and if player wants they can choose a difrent path also events for the neutral countriesas well so they can join war and effect the outcome.

Also what about 1900 campaing or maybe 1910 campaing which will let us go trough the series of events leading the ww1(just like 1936 scenerio) so players can also experience those timeline and maybe adding few more provinces for the popular fronts(ww1 western or middle eastern fronts)again with ahistorical choices players can play diffrent wars.

One more thing the upgrade limit.I know its aganist the game structure we are playing for years but isnt it odd to use a tank we built in 1938 for years and years.I mean upgrade upgrade and upgrade so our light tanks all becoming tiger tanks or m60.Same thing applies for the planes too I built a plane in 1936 and when I reach 1945 that plane becomes jet fighter...woow how the hell that was happened. If you implement such a thing then producing new tanks planes and investing in seleceted areas of resarch will have impact on gameplay. You can add this features as an option too so the players who dont want to use it just dont click it on the options tab.

Here is the idea about upgrade resrictions...

Planes

1910-1914
1914-1916
1916-1918
-

-bla
-bla

1936-1938
1938-1939
1939
1940
1941-1942
1943
1944
1945 jet fighters plans etc...

Same ideas for other stuff some units can be upgraded all time like infantry while many others are resricted.

Change the connexion between Cottbus (eastern Germany) and Karlovy Vary (Sudetenland) from land to impassable (like Karlovy Vary and Prachatice). The provinces barely touch on the map.

There's more in an armor division than the tanks themselves; men, material, history, doctrine, etc. The actual tank is just one interchangeable component.

I know but still the main element is tanks and upgrading them over an over again is odd thing. You may say that in this game when you upgrade your tank division actually you produce new tanks and put them in it but hey what about my old tanks maybe I wanted to hold them as reserve in a depots and activate them for the cost of supplies and manpower just like in the real world. Also what about planes make a plane in 1933 play until 1946 wooh they turn into jet fighter come on dude :D Also countries must have selected areas of resarch and should not be able to good on every area.

This upgrade limit can be put into the game as on option so players who wants to play with old style just dont check it I mean imagine the new style of this game play focusing spesific areas of technology will have incredable impact on game with this way.

Let me give you an example.

Play as Germany until 1944.France and Soviet Union destroyed you have a massive and very strong land army with huge IC.Then all you need to do is to wait for the carriers builging time so you take them and invade Uk and Usa with it but hey those countries are investing their navies for years what happened to them and their knowlage of sea warfare how can I keep up with them so easy isnt it realistic.

Also they keep bombing you with strategic bombers taking off from Uk but hey I have jet fighers all flying around France how can they defeat my fighers so easly with 1941 fighters they have numerical superiorty but what about my tecnological advance ?

To sum up these are my ideas.

Upgrade limit for tanks and planes.
Transfering a unit into reserve for more strategic gameplay.
Focused areas of resarch which will give you bonus and penalty when resarching.
Also a new idea came to my mind trading routes must be also blockaded too.

I hope that DH developers take this idea seriously and think about it...

bah. If you reach that point as Germany the game is basically over. If you then want to build a major fleet and conquer the world go for it, but that is the realm of alternate history and science fiction.

In my opinion, the DH developers should not waste their time on alternate timeline fantasy (or players who want to conquer the world as Guatemala!) when there is so much work that can be done on the historical WWII era.

One improvement that would greatly help gameplay and make DH equivalent to AoD's gameplay mechanics in some respects would be a better logistical system. As it is now it just feels too much like an arcade game as the panzers blitzkrieg through the Urals and beyond.... Even something as simple(??) as tweaking the base province ESE and exporting the setting to misc.txt as AoD does would I think create a much different game.

(or allow province ESE values to be set as a constant in the provinces.csv file)
