I am pleased that the military reforms went so well. Now, with a German-style military, hopefully we will be able to better fight against British imperialism holding an iron grip on South Africa.
I must say that I admire the tenacity and the endurance of the men holding Cape Town. Though I ultimately cannot say I agree with the cause they are fighting for, they nonetheless have my respect for their determination. The people of France continue to push forward into a new age of prosperity. The collapse of the deal with Manchuria is not going to be looked at as a failure in the long run, instead we simply have to find a more stable base for investment in asia. As shown though the government is taking steps to improve its relations with other nations and our defense abilities we have a strong focus on development at home. Taxes could have been raised to recruit new troops, build new forts or totally rebuild the navy but instead their were raised to rebuild your roads, your homes and expand railroad access.
As the economy continues to advance forward opportunities for wealth, safety and prosperity in France grow greatly. We also will be working to improve access to advanced classes at high level universities. Science will continue to improve our lives in the coming days and we must embrace the changes first so that France can lead the way once again.
