I call upon the soldiers, officers, people and governments of South America. Learn from Europe, if you are to fight one another do so against military targets. There are no reasons the devastation visited upon France and some other regions should be repeated upon the people of South America. The worlds papers have printed about enough destroyed cities to fill the rest of this century and some of the next.

We would happily sign trade agreements with the Italians when the situation stabilize.

However, we refuse to pay anything to the Spanish government, you are the responsible for the destruction of ships from both sides, we have no reason to pay for something that we are not to be blamed for.

OOC : Congo, Paraguay is allied to Argentina and Uruguay and at war with me.

We have a situation where the Brazilian admiral conducts his search, is not harmed in any way, is allowed to return to his ship, and when he does, he yells "Fogo!", but Brazil will not take any blame for the destruction of 5 Spanish ships. We wonder if, in the event that one of our admirals decides to fire a hundred full salvos onto your coastal cities, Brazil will maintain that Spain is not to blame for the ensuing destruction.

OOC : Do you realize that you would probably be couped if you attacked me right now? Either that or Europe would get even more annoyed at you.

OOC: Stability just rose after I smacked your fleet. I think my people wants to teach you a lesson. I don't want to, but they might force me if you don't comply... as for Europe, I say they already have a lot on their plate...

OOC: Stability just rose after I smacked your fleet. I think my people wants to teach you a lesson. I don't want to, but they might force me if you don't comply...

OOC : It rose because of your fleet winning a skirmish, however if you escalate that into open war when some countries in Europe are already supportive of me and see you as the aggressor might change that.
Plus you would probably put most countries in South America on my side, on fear of your increasing meddling in the continent affairs...

(Tough it would be good if Fry clarified that)

OOC: I am the only one that borders him and there is not a single reason for me to attack him. Italy is too messed up, Prussia just failed their first real naval adventure this game and the brits can only handle so many fronts before being swamped and forced to lose out on one, as Ireland might very well be doing to them now it is looking. Spain might have picked the near perfect war to muck about in actually. Surely the Ottomans wont jeopardize their strong peace investment by such a risky war. Maybe the new swedish player will hit spain to fit in with the insanity? :D

OOC: I love how Spain feels it is big and tough after a simple skirmish :p
Engage that Ironclad in another battle and have all your ships target it at the same time Duke. Send it to the bottom and ruin the Spanish people's confidence in their government.

OOC: What's happened to my income and trade balance? Last stats they were +700 and +50 respectively. The CSA seems to have doubled its small ships too?

Also, I've no idea who I'm trading with. If anyone wants trade just ask.

OOC: Massive debt, shaky army, weak navy, losing industrialization race...but top trade balance! Go minor victories!

Urgh. It was copied wrong. I'll fix it. Morrell seemed to use an earlier set as base, not the previous ones. I'll go through it tommorow and fix it all.

OOC : Hmmm, i just finish eating and notice Spanish stability...
So, reis, what were your talks about you being stable?

Also Fry, care to enlighten us as to the opnion of the Spanish population (and potentially of more) as to Spain threaning to bomb to death cities from a civilized nation (capital included)? Do they even care? (at least at present time)

Urgh. It was copied wrong. I'll fix it. Morrell seemed to use an earlier set as base, not the previous ones. I'll go through it tommorow and fix it all.
OOC: So my one victory is gone? Fah! Blasted numbers...

640px-Swedish_norwegian_union_flag.svg.png

The Kingdom of Sweden-Norway is appalled that nations of the world are once again set on war. It is Sweden's hope that the war is finished swiftly, and without much bloodshed. Sweden will embark upon a new era of industrialization and science through a number of measures that will be announced in due time. Sweden is also open to both investment and the forging stronger trade relations with other nations.

OOC: Font color suggestions? As for trade, Sweden has some of the highest quality timber, coal, and iron ore in the world. Also as far as war goes, Sweden has a strong neutral stance on that ever since the Napoleonic Wars - its actually the oldest neutral country in the world. However, I might be in for some Scandinavianism though ;)
