Grenadine Confederation
colombia+grenadine+federation.png

We here in the Federal Government are overjoyed to hear that the Pacific Ports have been liberated from the rebels. This war shall soon be over, and the Confederation will be able to once again work in peace. I would also like to personally appologize for the proposed actions of limiting the autonomy of the states, it was an emergency action should the rebels have been successful in capturing the capital. With the rebels on the run and losing ground, there is no longer any need to take away the states' autonomy.

As for foreign developments, the Confederation would love to purchase some stocks from this new Panama Canal Company, as the project is in such a close proximity to our nation. Its success will bring nothing but profit to the trading nations of the world, as well as shipping to Grenadine ports. We are both dismayed and angered by the unjust and unprovoked French invasion of Mexico. This invasion will do nothing but destabilize Central America for decades to come, and ask for a peace to be made, with the neutral British Empire holding the talks for peace, as their colony of Belize is in danger of any instability. We will continue to trade with Dia Nam as long as they wish us to remain trading with them. We wish them luck in quelling their own rebellion, as the freedom of trade should remain open to all the world.

OOC: When can we expect the stats updated Frymonmon? Don't want to rush, just want to know my money situation :p

I am glad that the Orange Free State has warmed their relationships with us. All Boers must stand together as one people and one nation, for if we do not, then the uncivilized half-devils of this continent and the British imperialists who forced us off our land will swallow us whole, and all that our fathers and grandfathers worked for in setting the stage for Boer freedom will be lost forever.

In the case of the German situation, I again caution all involved parties to be cautious. Any rash actions on either side could set German unification back for decades.

Stats get updated every year. Next update will be in January of 1862.

His Imperial Majesty, Napoleon III, hereby denounces The American government for the unlawful seizure of the supplies designated for The CSA. We will begin sending armed escorts with our transport ships, to ensure this does not happen again. As well, we denounce the Illegitimate Mexican government, and will continue in our efforts to place the rightful ruler of Mexico, Maximilian Joseph, on the throne. Lastly, we denounce Prussian attempts to subdue and attack its weaker neighbors, and will give our diplomatic and political support to Bavaria and her allies.

Emperor Napoleon III, Emperor of The Second French Empire.

OOC: Can I request a map of the situation in Germany?

Germany: June 1861

germanyjune1861.png

The Areas supporting the Rebellion are in the colour of Bavaria, the Nations supports Prussia are in the colour of Prussia. The small pockets of Bavaria's colour inside the rest of Germany are forces that are supporting the Bavarians, and revolting against the Prussians.

Comparison of the Armies of Germany: June 1861

Prussia and Allies

Regulars: 395,000
Conscripts: 45,000

Bavaria and Allies

Regulars: 150,000
Conscripts: 95,000

Yup. This is right now, mind you. This is before mobilization of any army (Besides Hanover and the Prussian Revolutionaries)

Good Sir,

I have recieved and read your letter to Her Majesties Government and must admit that you make some very good points. I do find myself in disagreement however, as to some of them.

It is undeniably true that slavery is both cruel and wicked. It is also true that it must be opposed and destroyed with a vigour that only the British Empire can muster.

It is however also true that the President of the CSA has promised to abolish slavery as soon as possible, something Lincoln has chosen to refrain from. Her Majesties Government therefore finds herself in an unenviable position. We must balance the 2 British values of Abolitionism and Individual Rights. We must also balance the fact that Lincoln has promised less in regards to slavery, whilst the CSA has promised more.

I would also like to assure you of Her Majesties Governments policy on slavery. If the CSA wins its war, then we shall use all our might and any means possible to proceed with Abolitionism in both nations, if the CSA does not, then we shall use our might against the USA. Rest assured, we shall not let slavery continue.

This does not mean however, that we will force Abolitionism upon a nation, for the very idea of doing so is wrong.

Ask yourself this. Was Britain always so Abolitionist as we are now? Was Britain always a land without slavery? Was Britain never a land of slaveholding aristocrats?

Her Majesties Government reinforces our opinion that should the CSA be victorious, we will not only win a victory for Individual Rights, but through pressure shall reach Abolitionism in a relativley short time and with a better accpetance by the average Confederate. Whatever happens though, rest assured that Slavery will be removed from North America.

OOC: The ball is in the court of Mr Lincoln and I wonder how he will play it...

OOC: Mebbe.

If Lincoln plays Emancipation Proclamation now the Union is toast.

Abolition response soon...(ish)

OOC: How big is my west army?

Roughly 25,000 Conscripts. I'll do the CSA and USA armies like I did for Germany in a second.

Though I'm sure it doesn't mean much, I would like to announce that the South African Republic does not recognize the southern American rebel government and recognizes the United States' sovereignty over the South.

OOC: Feels kind of OOC for super-decentralized, very individualist, quasi-racist Transvaal, but meh. I'm a Unionist. Besides, I'll need those American volunteers when/if the Boer Wars break out.
