Speech from the German Minister of the Interior, in Munich, German Empire.

Men of Germany! Hear my words! We have recovered the documents detailing the rule and orders of Maximilian II, during the war. It seems that he was not the great man that many believe he was. He actually ordered, that soldiers be sent to attack telegraph lines and used them in an attempt to start a war between Germany and Denmark, he also attempted to steal from German supply depots believing his own weapons to be poorly made and insufficient.

It also seems that another accusation against him has been proven true, that he, Maximilian II, King of Bavaria, ordered the assassination and death of Wilhelm I, King of Prussia. He ordered his fellow king's death with little mercy and attempted to cover it all upon the Swiss Confederation and Great Britain. He was never a good man, but scum, who deceived his people and bended them to his will. Kaiser Friedrich has been informed and was disgusted and shocked at the revelation but notes that he figured that it was Maximilian the whole time, as outlined in a Prussian police report, put together by one of my brighter subordinates.

I thank you all for your time taken to listen to these revelations.

Munich Times

Citizens! Bavarians! Brothers in Arms!

Today we have been told the truths about the King of Bavaria! He is NOT the patron we thought he was! The German Government has rightfully shown us what is the real answer! The King of Bavaria was nothing more than a common panderer, who wished to further his own cause! The murdered Prussian King was a good German, of German Blood! He was murdered by the hands of an evil Tyrant! Glory be to the German Empire! Duetchland Uber Alles!

OOC: Wait...wasn't Surinates Ireland?

Anyway, for IC and such, here is a map of that part of South America when the War of the Pacific started (1879), in that time Bolivia had access to the sea and rich regions of saltpeter.

The Empire of Japan warns the Kingdom of Manchuria from invading Korea. Should the Manchurian armies fail to stop their advance into Korea the Empire of Japan shall have no choice but to declare war against the Manchurian.

The interests of Japan as well as the Korean people shall be protected from the Manchurian aggressors.

His Majesty's Government is unsurprised by this new evidence. We had suspected Bavarian interference from the start, and are now glad that our name can be fully cleared from this villainous deed.

Furthermore, we should state that whilst we are pleased to see a peaceful outcome to potential conflict over our holdings in Honduras, this is not to be seen as encouragement for any other part of the Empire to follow this example.

The Union protests the unnecessary warmongering of the Manchu. Not content with sending hundreds of thousands to their death against the Heavenly Kingdom, they now declare they wish more to die in a futile endeavour.

OOC: So, do those fresh reinforcement armies Austria deployed last turn switch sides to Germany now? I'm guessing those armies were Bavarian, so it would make a bit sense now.

Kingdom of Manchuria

The Kingdom of Manchuria would like to remind Emperor Meiji of Japan that we contacted you previously on the matter, and you have failed to respond until now.

We are, however, willing to stay out of a war and instead partition the nation between the Japanese Empire and the Kingdom of Manchuria, if you are willing. The Korean government is corrupt and weak. If our nations step in, the Korean people will witness an era of prosperity never seen before under their own futile government. However, mark it well, if you deny this agreement, our troops are as ready as ever to intervene in the Korean peninsula.

His Majesty's Government should also like to express our wish to repair any damage done to our relations with the United States. We wish to be friends with the United States, and certainly do not wish to hold them as enemies, nor to have them hold us as enemies.

OOC: Cheef old chap, that sorta Molotov-Ribbentrop deal with Satan stuff is best kept to PMs if possible. Not trying to sound patronising old sport but its not exactly a good thing for the people of the world, and your nation, to hear.

The Treaty of Stockholm:

The United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway will purchase the Portuguese African colonies, including Angola and Mozambique, of the Portuguese Republic for 525 gold.

The United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway will provide transport for the Portuguese Garrison back to European Portugal

The United Kingdoms of Sweden and the Portuguese Republic will agree to lower tariffs to a maximum of 20%.

Signatories,
[X] Charles XV, King of Sweden and Norway
[] President of the Portuguese Republic

His Majesty's Government should like to state our interest in the purchase of the Portuguese colonies. We should like to ascertain however, just which colonies are for sale?

Portugal is interested in only selling Angola, Mozambique, and Goa for the right price. However, the price that the Swedish have offered us for our African Colonies is very favorable to our situation, and we see no reason to turn it down unless the British Government can offer something superior in a wide magnitude.

Would the Portuguese Government also consider the sale of their territories in the East Indies? And if so, what would be the starting price of this purchase.

His Majesty's Government is interested in the purchase of Goa, and would ask the Portuguese again to set a starting price for the purchase.

On both these matters, we feel confident of our ability to match or beat any foreign offer.

In the East Indies, we would offer a starting price of 200 Gold. As for Goa, we have a long and historic attachment with that area, and will settle with nothing less than 600 Gold.

OOC: Can I just confirm whether I am or am not a war with Doom?

The Portuguese colonies in the East Indies are undeveloped and are not worth the price. His Majesty's Government would suggest the alternate price of 100 Gold Units for them.

Goa is developed however, and due to the significant Portuguese ties to the area we would propose a purchase price of currency amounting to 450 Gold Units.

Emperor Meiji apologizes to the Manchurian Emperor as the messenger who delivered the letter left it at the wrong room.

OOC; Derp I didn't notice the notification.

Portugal will sign the agreement with the Kingdom of Sweden and Norway, and will offer the sale of both Goa and our East Indie territory for a grand total of 600 Gold.
