I wish to inform the Kingdom of Spain that the Caribbean was already well destabilised before the current war. Clearly the Spanish Crown is not as aware of the state of their supposedly integral lands as it would like to believe. I also ask the Spanish not to put words in our mouths.

The Kingdom of Spain denies American claims of instability in the Caribbean, apart the Hispaniolan rebellion, of which we have some evidence that points to foreign involvement, most notably from the part of Colombia. If we are to allow nations to resort to such base tactics to undermine national sovereignty, then the reinforced stone castle we have built that is called national sovereignty will be in serious risk of crumbling, and all hopes of longlasting peace are lost.

The Spanish crown is highly aware of the state of all the lands in the Kingdom of Spain, as is our sworn duty to provide competent and fair government to all the peoples of Spain. There have been reforms, such as the Ley de la Administracion Regional, which have placed Spain's colonies as some of the most desirable places to live, as population figures may show you. And the evidence is that all Cubans were willing to take up arms to defend the island against the US Army, as they know that US rule will never be as beneficial to them as Spanish rule was.

We, however, do not have any wish to see good Cubans die needlessly, and thus are willing to grant the Cubans independence. If the United States do not accept this proposal, then it will be obvious to the entire world the true nature of the imperialistic ambitions of the United States Government, and their desire to annex Cuba into the Union, against the will of the people of Cuba. A country which fought for, and always defended the right of colonies to self-determination, embodied in the American War of Independence, now seeks colonies of their own.

We would like to see the evidence which indicates that we made Hispaniola rebel against your rule.

If you cannot present this evidence, we recommend that you hold your tongue and try to preserve what little honour and credibility you have left.

The Moroccan Sultan recalls that shortly after declaring Independence Hispaniola was subject to an attempt by Colombia to annex it. That would seem too much a coincidence to be ignored by someone who is ill informed of the truth.

So because the former government accepted our offer to join our nation, that immediatly makes it our fault that they rebelled?

It would make that a reasonable assumption for many to make without further evidence.

Firstly, the reasons for Hispaniolan rebellion are clearly stated:

Secondly, we don't care about assumptions. We wish to see this hard evidence which Spain proclaims it has.

Firstly What is said on paper may not be the whole Truth for all we know. Secondly yes Evidence should be provided if they are willing to make such accusations.

Spanish agents have uncovered foreign funding and arms used during the uprising, and that the previous rebel government was already in contact with Colombian agents before the rebellion. Does the Colombian government deny this last fact?

The way the above question is phrased by the Colombian ambassador, however, speaks higher than anything, as they place not the question "Did we aid the Hispaniolan rebels?", but instead questioned if they "had made" Hispaniola rebel, thus implicitly acknowledging that they gave support to the rebels.

We thus are also led to suspect the recent annexation of Ecuador, at the light of this information.

As many nations well know by now, all Spanish "facts" must be taken with a grain of salt. The Spanish Crown is clearly entertaining paranoid delusions as this point in time.

It is sad that the foreign relations department of the US government, finding themselves without arguments to justify their untenable foreign policy, has resorted to such base insults.

There was nothing base nor any intended insult within our former statement. It is a clear fact that the Spanish Crown is insane.

We doubt the existence of agents and we have never aided the nation of Hispaniola. The dilutions continue.

We contacted the people of Hispaniola before they rebelled, pledging them our diplomatic support. However, are you saying that giving diplomatic support caused the entire population to rebel? We only talked about aid after they gained their freedom, however negotiations ended when the government was overthrown. As a result, no aid or supplies from our nation reached Hispaniola.

Well I suppose we did aid them with moral support.

We will hold a vote on whether Ecuador wishes to stay part of our nation if you hold the same kind of vote in Catalonia and Basque. I'm confident of what the Ecuadorian result shall be.

His Majesty's Government urges that all nations be more diplomatic. Spain now has a monarch much akin to the great Charles II, and we are sure that the Spanish monarch is doing all within her power to control her nation, no matter how difficult the task.

    The Invasion of Spain

It was the 15th of January 1865 when the first invaders from the Americas set foot on Spanish soil. Coming ashore in a seemingly endless horde, they were met by the gazes of astonished Spanish fishermen and villagers. They stormed up the beach and quickly took up positions among the rocks, securing the beach without any resistance from the startled Spanish. Settling down, some of the invaders waddled down to the sea and began to swim in the sea, many catching fish or socialising with their friends.

The invasion had originated from South Georgia, a British colony near Antarctica. Here, the invading force had boarded the Liverpool registered steamer 'Triumph' and once aboard, the crew had set course for Europe. Crossing the Atlantic, the invaders made their preparations.

It was a stormy night when they arrived off the coast of Northern Spain, and the Atlantic ocean was bitterly cold. With no lights to guide it, the ship carrying the invading force ran aground, the bottom of its hull torn out on the rocks. The invaders struggled to get free from the wreck and reach the shore. As the sun broke over the scene, the startled fishermen preparing their boats for the day were greeted with an incredible sight.

Penguins had invaded Spain. Marching up the beach in their hundreds, the Penguins, originally destined for the Tiergarten Zoo in Berlin, as a present from King Edward to the Kaiser, the Penguins had escaped with few losses from the wreck of their vessel. They found themselves on the North Coast of Spain, in the Basque regions of the country. Originally isolated, they quickly found themselves the centre of attention, as the locals took a great interest in these strange animals. After a while, the media began to arrive and the story quickly spread.

    1. One of the American invaders taking a swim.

Soon enough, the Penguins were rounded up, but only after they had won the hearts of many of the locals, who found the strange bird like creatures thoroughly amusing. Once rounded up, the Penguins were herded into new cages and put aboard a new steamer, successfully completing their journey to Hamburg and then being taken by train the Berlin. Once reaching Berlin, they settled into their new home in the Tiergarten and quickly became a major attraction, bringing in visitors from all around Germany.
