AHD latest patch.
First game I've played all the way to the end:
Notice the ridiculous population. I conquered most of China, combined with high technology and immigration pop growth was 200k/ a month near the end. Total population was over 476 million, with a literacy over 99%.
#1 in all categories, though GB did have many more brigades, almost half of mine were either guards, tanks, or planes. I think I had almost 1500 possible brigades, near the end I was endlessly spamming them in China from the seemingly endless hordes of soldier pops. I basically couldn't even build them fast enough to deplete the reserves at only 40% military spending, because it just kept growing and growing. Also I don't have too many ships, but they are all either cruisers or dreadnaughts. Pretty sure I could of put the hurt on GB if I wanted to, though they did have almost 400k men stationed in Canada so I'm sure they figured me for their biggest threat.
Research and literacy went so well that I finished all technologies in 1929. Elections didn't go as well. I pretty much got stuck with the democrats the majority of the game. There was a small time when the liberals took over, I passed all the political reforms, and then all my liberals turned into socialist or communist, and then the conservatives won every single election thereafter, though the socialist were very close to winning the last couple elections. So I didn't even have the LF bonus for the industry for about 80% of the game, though I did at some point use it to my advantage when I was swimming in more money I could spend I subsidized and gained some world market share that way in the later part of the game.
Mexico rolled over easily, I colonized all of the Pacific minus a few Spanish and Dutch colonies in New Guinea. Balboa (American Panama), and the Yukon Territory became states, so I ended up with 52 states. Sadly no Yankees would migrate to China or even Oceania, so they only fueled the industries back home. Though I did notice a ton of Chinese and Russian immigrants near the end game.
With the additions of China, and most of SE Asia, I was able to really choke out some of the industrial competition. I think by the end game i controlled at least 35% of all the most important resources. At that point I subsidized all factories and had a huge negative tariff (around -30%, costing sometimes over 30k/day) running to fuel the industries even more. A few years later, GB's industry crashed (dropped over 1000pts in a couple months), and I took over #1 in all categories, never to relinquish it again, except temporarily while GB and Russia were at war they exceeded me in military strength while they were mobilized.
Other things of interest - after forcing China to release her puppets it never truly formed and eventually Guangxi made it to GP status (sadly as I had them sphered before that). I also had Mongolia and Xinjiang sphered as well, so I did really have almost all of china in my control before Guangxi made it to GP status.
Russia and I were allied and actually lost a war to Austria, where they liberated Obstrusen (sp?). Somehow they must of had some brilliant generals or something, but they got into a war, I accepted Russia's call, but largely ignored it for a long time. After seeing that they were being overrun, despite having a much high military score than Austria I sent in 20 brigades of guard, (60k troops) with one of my best generals, to assist them. My group had some success but it wasn't enough and the Russians just didn't do anything to stop the Austrians, I think they were being overrun with communist rebels simultaneously so that must have contributed.
Never went above the infamy limit, and pretty much turtled it out the last 20 years, as you can see my infamy is 0.
Most of the countries seemed to civilize really fast this game, so there wasn't too much imperialism going on... rather drab AI expansion actually. GB didn't even colonize all of Australia even...
