Prussia decided to help me in that war.... which turned out to be a bad idea:

Note: Since GB was allied with Prussia when I attacked and I peaced out with Prussia earlier I still have the +25 war score from battles. This should be enough for a white peace, so I'm able to focus on beating up France.

Are you going for Grossdeutschland?. Would be interesting to see a Grossdeutschland with Braunschweig as it's capital.

I envy you. I have to ask, however: is there any particularly reason you chose Braunschweig? I've considered trying this with Saxe-Coburg for some time now, just haven't gotten around to it.

My current game of Germany:

Not pictured is North Angola, (former) Oman Lindi, Johore, and Fernando Po. Currently working on dismantling Austria(I don't like how große Deutschland looks when you annex the entire Austrian empire, I prefer just Austria, Bohemia-Moravia, and maybe Galicia). My plan is to diplo-annex Austria after dismantling it, taking Heligoland, annexing Russia's 3 Polish states, and making a German pink map in Africa.

Nice! My plan is to take Russia's Polish states, the European parts of the Ottoman Empire, the rest of the Balkans, Jutland, the Low countries, Switzerland, Italy, and as much of France as possible. I also wish to free Morocco completely from Spanish rule before puppetting Spain, Portugal, and perhaps France(if they lose GP). I want to sphere or puppet the Dutch, but they're still a GP despite having only their capital state in mainland Europe.

Attack Austria with the goal of freeing the Serbians in Slavonia and the Moldavians in Austrian Moldavia. Form Greater Germany. Take whatever states you'd like to take. Release Trieste, Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary (Optionally for good looking borders release Slovakia, Hungary and tag-switch to Hungary to release Transylvania). You may want to consider releasing the Baltic states, Belarus and Ukraine from Russia.

Did you take all their colonial possesions? If not do it and annex them together with Belgium.

I think it;s because he's a Brunswicker?
Yup, and I even modded my name into the folder which determines the names of my generals. Too bad my Alter ego has shitty stats.

My current game as Sikh Empire --> India. GB rebelled twice and lost pretty much all of its influence in India, so I just kind of came in and took its place.
I'm having problems atm because militant socialists keep rebelling and I have way too many craftsmen (about 5m).
I also can't seem to get the liberals out of the upper house, which is a problem since pacifism and laissez faire are both awful.
Other than that, everything is going peachy though- literacy is about 65% and increases 0.3% a month (I think that's a lot). My industrial power far surpasses any other country in the world, and I could theoretically field about 1.5m soldiers with another 880k or so as reserves. The reason my military is so small is because all of my soldiers become rebels.
The Scramble for Africa is typically weird, because a lot of the Barbary Coast nations and Western Africa nations are already in SoIs, so they're not getting invaded.

Some other weird things have happened during this game:
-Nepal got absorbed into India when I formed it and lost its cores on Nepal.
-Alaska, the Kuriles, and Sakhalin are/were all part of GB due to some wacky war with all of Europe, in which Russia lost part of Congress Poland as well.
-Heavenly Kingdom conquered Qing and then released practically all of China as domains.
-About half of the Japanese daimyos revolted against the Shogunate so Japan is all fractured, and there's a weird independent country in Hokkaido (Ainu Republic or something like that)
-Both the CSA and Canada have been or currently are great powers
-Hungary broke off from Austria and was then puppeted by Italy

How did you conquer all of India without having to invade the British Isles? Does PDM have a different warscore system?

Warscore wasn't ever more than like 16 or so per region and a lot of British India simply collapsed inwards due to Indian nationalists/jacobins on the homefront.
I became a GP and then sphered all of the former British Indian puppet states rather than conquering those.

Sweden (me), France and Russia ganged up on Prussia really early in the game in my attempt to take Schleswig Holstein so i could form Scandinavia. Prussia never recovered and was attacked time and time again by all its neigbhours until the country was thrown in to a civil war that lasted around 40-50 years.

How is Lithuania a GP?

I forced Prussia to release Lithuania early on and then had Lithuania in my Sphere and as my ally. Later on i started waring Russia together with my allies (france, austria + my spheres) to liberate Finland and capture Karelia. Lithuania added an own war goal to liberate some of their cores and after we won they quickly developed in to a great power... And then of course greateful as they were they quickly left my alliance became allied with russia and started waring me over the control of the baltic states (not that it did them any good) :p

The baltic states are the reason why im over the infamy limit btw. In order to protect the baltic states from conquest/restoring order wars every 5 years i started grabbing all the land surronding them.
My next goal after waiting for the infamy to drop down would be to take western Lithuania, force them down from great power status and then sphere them again. (sadly i ran out of time :()

AHD latest patch.

First game I've played all the way to the end:

USA1936.jpg

Notice the ridiculous population. I conquered most of China, combined with high technology and immigration pop growth was 200k/ a month near the end. Total population was over 476 million, with a literacy over 99%.

#1 in all categories, though GB did have many more brigades, almost half of mine were either guards, tanks, or planes. I think I had almost 1500 possible brigades, near the end I was endlessly spamming them in China from the seemingly endless hordes of soldier pops. I basically couldn't even build them fast enough to deplete the reserves at only 40% military spending, because it just kept growing and growing. Also I don't have too many ships, but they are all either cruisers or dreadnaughts. Pretty sure I could of put the hurt on GB if I wanted to, though they did have almost 400k men stationed in Canada so I'm sure they figured me for their biggest threat.

Research and literacy went so well that I finished all technologies in 1929. Elections didn't go as well. I pretty much got stuck with the democrats the majority of the game. There was a small time when the liberals took over, I passed all the political reforms, and then all my liberals turned into socialist or communist, and then the conservatives won every single election thereafter, though the socialist were very close to winning the last couple elections. So I didn't even have the LF bonus for the industry for about 80% of the game, though I did at some point use it to my advantage when I was swimming in more money I could spend I subsidized and gained some world market share that way in the later part of the game.

V2_MAP_USA_193611_1.jpg

Mexico rolled over easily, I colonized all of the Pacific minus a few Spanish and Dutch colonies in New Guinea. Balboa (American Panama), and the Yukon Territory became states, so I ended up with 52 states. Sadly no Yankees would migrate to China or even Oceania, so they only fueled the industries back home. Though I did notice a ton of Chinese and Russian immigrants near the end game.

With the additions of China, and most of SE Asia, I was able to really choke out some of the industrial competition. I think by the end game i controlled at least 35% of all the most important resources. At that point I subsidized all factories and had a huge negative tariff (around -30%, costing sometimes over 30k/day) running to fuel the industries even more. A few years later, GB's industry crashed (dropped over 1000pts in a couple months), and I took over #1 in all categories, never to relinquish it again, except temporarily while GB and Russia were at war they exceeded me in military strength while they were mobilized.

Other things of interest - after forcing China to release her puppets it never truly formed and eventually Guangxi made it to GP status (sadly as I had them sphered before that). I also had Mongolia and Xinjiang sphered as well, so I did really have almost all of china in my control before Guangxi made it to GP status.

Russia and I were allied and actually lost a war to Austria, where they liberated Obstrusen (sp?). Somehow they must of had some brilliant generals or something, but they got into a war, I accepted Russia's call, but largely ignored it for a long time. After seeing that they were being overrun, despite having a much high military score than Austria I sent in 20 brigades of guard, (60k troops) with one of my best generals, to assist them. My group had some success but it wasn't enough and the Russians just didn't do anything to stop the Austrians, I think they were being overrun with communist rebels simultaneously so that must have contributed.

Never went above the infamy limit, and pretty much turtled it out the last 20 years, as you can see my infamy is 0.

Most of the countries seemed to civilize really fast this game, so there wasn't too much imperialism going on... rather drab AI expansion actually. GB didn't even colonize all of Australia even...
