Colonization... broken?

Now, now... I've played my fair share of SRI games... probably this is the 5th or 6th I play 'till the very end. And not once have I seen the European powers ever even set foot on the New World!

Mind you, the distances are calculated marvelously, so there's no qualms with being out of range of colonization. Just... they seem to be content with exploring - and not too much - and never setting foot on the New World.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using the very latest version of SRI, and it has happened even with past iterations.

PS: I'm starting in 1399, the default start date, may that have something to do?

I can't speak for the DW version, but colonization is fine with my current game (EU3:HTTT with SRI 6) ...

There are Dutch, French, British, Portuguese and Napolitan colonies all over the Americas.

Playing with DW. Really seems to very. Sometimes they colonize, yet sometimes there is hardly any.

Yes, I've also noticed that colonization is broken in SRI for DW. I'm not sure why though, as it seemed to work better in earlier versions.

This is quite the bug in what otherwise would be a flawless mod... it just isn't fun at all to play as Castille or France and find no opposition in the New World... the world is, for all intents and purposes, your playground.
