they will probably coop
Hansa's fine.
I don't play terribly often, but I think I'll be ok.
I'd also be fine as Portugal, but you sound like you'd prefer a trade league.
Saharez is unsure about his schedule, as is Lord Austere. They've agreed to share a country, one subbing for the other when he's missing. Should they both participate to any session, they'd be welcome to coop. I'd insist that they do not "cooperate" when at war against another player though. A fair and equitable "division of labour", in that case, would be to split tasks: one insulting the enemy, the other actually taking care of military operations.
I can host a mumble server, I can also host the game — but I meant to ask whether anybody has a surprisingly performing machine and connection, mine is rather common. We have an Australian on board, he's a very demanding person (in terms of connectivity) — so I'll ask Sharpcat and others to ping my router to tell whether latency is satisfactory: "Start", "Run", type "cmd", then type "ping 82.233.63.138". Scion used to be a good host, perhaps he'd like to take on that role. I used to connect to your Mumble or Teamspeak server, do you think we could use that.
There will be one last mod release, either today or tomorrow — so two days in advance of the campaign day.

I host "Sands of Time" game and for what i know there isn't any problem. My pc i recent, i play ultra on skyrim so i think it's quite good. And i'm in France.
The only thing that can be not enough for this amount of player could be my connection but i'm not an expert. Another thing is that if i host we will need to use hamachi or something like it, because i can't open my ports. But as i said before i haven't problems on "Sands of time".

I haven't played EU3 in a good while but I've done rather well in the bunch of people I've played with previously (which includes Alistus!) and I have solid EU2 experience too (though not much remains the same in EU3 anyway). This mod seems to fix tons of the retardation that killed my motivation and I have Tuesday evenings free, so I'm interested.
None of Genoa, Mamluks and Portugal really interest me much, but I suppose Portugal wouldn't be awful even though I haven't colonized much in EU3 in general. Gotta test in singleplayer I suppose. Mamluks or Genoa are passable too I guess, though I don't really know how viable those two actually are and playing a colonizer for once in multiplayer might be fun.
I won't absolutely promise I'll join the game, but if I will (ie if I show up on the first time) I'll promise to show up every single time unless something totally unexpected happens. So feel free to promise the nations to anyone else until then.
EDIT: I can theoretically host too. I have Q9450, 4GB ram and 100/100 connection in Finnish university network. If I remove my router there won't be any ports blocked either, but if I open them from my router the effect is the same anyway. 91 ms to the IP address posted above though.
I'm rock. Scissors are fine, but the paper needs some nerf.
We'll piggyback on Alistus' box then, for hosting purposes. Hamachi can be the source of quite a few issues, Ashalia — high latency among others. I don't know which provider you're subscribed to (Numericable, SFR, Free, etc.), but I could try to help with the router's configuration.
Elmokki, you're welcome to join us in any country you deem interesting, including Poland, should you prefer it over others. IronVanguard, the same goes for you — if you're not enthusiastic about the Hansa, you're invited to switch.
I mentioned Genova as a possible country because it can leverage its peculiar financial decisions (cheap interest rates, big loan sizes) and mercantile opportunities (trade stations, Levantine trade), which are all novelties. Genova also borders and clashes with the Golden Horde (yet another new aspect in the mod), despite being able to trade in Astrakhan. Lama, perhaps legitimately, doesn't like the idea of a Genoese neighbour. I also brought up the Mamluks — firstly because I fear that Pilis (Ottoman Empire) might resent his solitude in the Near East, secondly because I am interested in receiving players feedback on westernisation, or their struggle as a Muslim tech country. Portugal, a traditional choice, could be an interesting option due to new "crusade" dynamics and the revised naval and quality sliders.
Ultimately, we're playing to entertain ourselves, regardless of testing: so, really, pick whichever country tickles your interest.
I'm fine with hosting, and with this number of players it should be no problem. i've had issues when its around 20 players, but up to around 12-14 is usually completely stable.
I believe I'll prefer Portugal in any case. Mamluks would probably suffer from the same thing as pretty much any non-European nation: Being very isolated. The other European options are pretty much minor nations that would just eat the living space of other minors so I believe Portugal is probably most enjoyable choice for everyone.
I'm rock. Scissors are fine, but the paper needs some nerf.
I host 25-30 in CifW, although some session can be a bit unstable. I imagine this number would be a non-issue though.

Hi, I'm interested in joining aswell, the mod seems quite interesting...
If IronVanguard doesn't mind I would like to take Hansa if not I can take Genoa or possibly the mamluks.
Also sorry for the late reply but I've been away from the forum for quite a while. Cheers.

I love how this mod might make the southern trade leagues viable choices! Especially with the enhanced stability costs such small high income nations have a real edge in the game.
Oh, no, if you want to take Hansa it's fine.
I could take the Mamluks, actually. Might be neat.
If its alright with Silk, I'll take Hansa then.

We don't seem to be short of hosting options: we'll start with Alistus as our host, Scion would succeed him when needed, as would I as third resort. For what concerns voice communications (for those wanting to converse), we should settle on which software to use: I have a slight preference for Mumble over TeamSpeak, as it's open source. I can run either server — which do you prefer.
While it's hardly necessary to participate to voice conversations, it could be helpful in case of technical issues or questions pertaining to the mod.
