A few questions on how AI is incorporated into the game.

Hey. I don't really know much about the game, but I'm intrigued by all the snippets of information that I've managed to come upon. So I have a question that's targeted towards both the developer, (assuming he's reading this forum), and whoever might have played the beta or know more about the game than i do.

As far as I've understood, this is how the game works:

*Each map has a series of flags placed in pre-determined locations, and the goal is to take control of these flags, Battlefield-style.
*Each team has a large(?) number of AI-controlled soldiers and vehicles, who are all running about the map, engaging each other and trying to take control of said flags.
*In the middle of all this, the player(s) choose individual soldiers to take direct control over, controlling them like you would in a regular FPS.
*Somehow, you are able to spend resources upgrading the soldiers on your side with new weaponry and vehicles.

    Is that about it?

If so, how do the AI-controlled soldiers function? Are they able to upgrade their equipment and drive vehicles, for example? In short; is the AI able to do all the things the player(s) can do?

That is basically how it works in Deathmatch gameplay mode. In Army Skirmish its more like a traditional RTS where you have to explicitly give orders to squads. Though that mode only supports 4 players per server.

I see. How does the equipment-upgrade system work in "Deathmatch", then?

There is a spawn menu where you can select the loadout. Sorry for delayed response, been busy lately ;-)

Can the AI use this as well? Does it drive vehicles? That's the sort of thing I'd like to know.

    ...What?

The AI selects a pseudo-random weapon at spawn.

Yes the AI uses vehicles, it's the same AI in online/offline mode. AI only uses vehicles in Army Skirmish mode though.
