Could someone tell me a bit more about this gathering. Is it suitable for a 14 year old to go to? What will everyone do there? Where is it and when does it start?
Did you read the first post of this thread? It says pretty clearly where and when it is.
For a 14yo, maybe not - it goes til (at least) 11pm and there'll be drinking and smoking, no doubt. Not much else will be done there I expect except talking.

Hi, even though we didn't set an age-limit to the event, my personal feeling is that it's not appropriate for a 14 year old to attend, the event is a meet & greet, hanging out over drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol).

Everyone else at home has had the flu for the last few days, with me home as a caretaker. And now I have a warm feeling, but it's not about what a good guy I have been.. I wouldn't be able to enjoy free alcohol like this, but even more importantly I wouldn't want to be the reason for why half the programmers would have to stay away for half a week or so..

Wow, we had a rather massive turn out, many many more than we expected based on past events, I don't think any one took an actual count but my guess is well over 100 (including our German friends from the earlier post who I am happy to report made it in safe and sound.). I want to thank everyone for coming out and making the event such a success.
I have been dealt a good hand in life, now I am just looking for a few more cards!
I would just like to congratulate all of Paradox for this great evening. I was amazed to see so many people coming to the event, and it was a close call to get a "goodie bag". I'm looking forward to this event next year and let's hope this will be the best Paradox year in their history!
(Also CK2 was awesome :3 just 17 days left...)

My personal feeling...
Most of these games related to PI are rated T for teens or E for everyone.... "Fans" thus from pretty much any age group.
Restaurants serve alcohol but don't discourage teens from becoming patrons via their own expense or that of their sponsors (ie parents), who by the way, may give permission for their teen dependents to attend such gatherings -- EtOH need not be served.
Lastly, if we were really concerned about the over all health of our younglings, we'd do a lot more than just keep them away from cigarette smoke and enforce early bed-time...
