Good day senator. I would ask that you reconsider your position on lend lease. Why would we ask the American tax payer to support and subsidize communist Russia? I say the NAY, NAY and once again NAY! Communism is antithetical to our capitalist society. Asking the American taxpayer to subsidize communism is a betrayal of the worst kind. Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves. While I have breath in my body, such a measure will not be unopposed.

I would not ask the American taxpayer to give 6 cents to our arch enemies. I assure you that lend lease will be filibustered if necessary to keep American taxpayers from subsidizing our worst enemies.

I vote to repeal the New Draft and Mobilization Laws the former President and his administration had no right to pass said acts without the Senates approval. On the matter of joining a side in this war, I vote None we should not embroil ourselves in the affairs of Europe, the war in Europe was always going to happen as long as traditional German territory was in foreign hands.

I approve the law changes made by the President, war is inevitable and a war declaration must be delivered to Germany as soon as possible. Hitler opresses the people and my fellow Socialists in Germany. If we wait, free nations will suffer more and more.
I also cannot see why you wish to exclude the Soviet Union. While i do diapprove the Methods Stalin used, i do say we will have a common enemy, if we dont fight together with the Soviets, Germany will be unattackable - Their beaches will be so highly guarded that every attempt would be futile.
Yes to Lend Lease - Yes to giving the Soviets the Option to take it, if neccessary.
You may say, that i am a sympathist of the Soviet Government, no , a Totalitarian state, stalin-style is not my goal, but for all of you, who want to bring capitalism back to Russia, why not give them some of our Capital, so they see how superior your Capital - isn truly is.

According to the Allies Decisions i cannot agree to Joining the Allies, i don't agree to none of the Alliances, but i would support a Declaration of War, as quick ad possible.

But this time, lets not get ourselves fooked into another Peace, dictated by the Uk and France, ignoring us.

Senators, regarding the proposed lend lease program: I propose we offer lend lease only to our fellow democracies. Communist and totalitarianistic governments would not be given any taxpayer money. How can we consider fighting one dictator while supporting another? Are we hypocrites?

I find myself agreeing with you on the matter of support for the communists, they are a greater threat to our security than Nazi German could ever be, Bolsheviks are insidious creatures bent on the destruction of the American way of life. I will consider changing my position on Lend-Lease if the Soviet Union receives nothing from the United States of America.
I would also like to offer my congratulations to the Republican Party and our new President Wilkie for winning the elections, may you bring order and safety to the American people.

On another matter all together, with the recent unprovoked German aggression in the Balkans and in Norway, I now believe that Germany must be told that no more aggressive attacks will be tolerated, I propose that we guarantee the independence of the following countries in order to show our resolve for peace:
Sweden
Turkey
Persia
Portugal
I firmly believe that Herr Hitler will see this as a statement of our resolve and think carefully on his future prospects, perhaps we can even convince him to come to the peace table and negotiate an honourable peace.

Hmmm, Mr. President, may I make an amendment to the Lend-Lease Bill that only sends aid to Britain, France, and Nationalist China? An aid of mine just noticed that the Soviets would benefit from this legislation, and I won't support that. Unless this amendment is accepted, I must change my vote to Nay on the Lend-Lease Act.

I will accept anything which will hinder the total domination of the German menace, even if that means paying the Soviets. I do believe that they are a despisable regime, however the Germans deserve all opposition they can have since, in my opinion, they deserve all seven hells. I do not expect others to believe the same as me, and I will respect their views on this, but I will not change!
