Yeah, that's correct; I'd like to switch positions and give someone else a chance to run the show. That, and this gives me a chance to actually play D-Day in HoI3, which will be a welcome challenge.

I took a trip to Poland these few days and lived the tension in there.I say that not just a war,A GRAND WAR will start very soon

1.Aye on Gear for war.As I said WAR is coming so we MUST be prepared.
2.I request if possible to be responsible of the Atlantic NORTH Army.It sounds weird that I didn't pick a theater but it looks that there is competition on those so why not be an army leader?Also the direction which the Army will go(e.x this Army will attack east Canada) will be decided by the theater commander but the directions of the Corps and Divisions(e.x this Corps will attack Ottawa and that Corps will attack Montreal) will be decided by me.If this is not allowed let me canditate to be Commander of the Atlantic Theater.

I currently don't have plans to break things farther down than theaters; perhaps if things get really complicated later? I will, of course, put you down as a potential Atlantic Theater Commander.

tyriet, if you do want to be a theater commander, I have no problems with you not having FTM (although you should buy it anyway, it's awesome ). I'll make sure that we have plenty of maps when the war gets started, and that's all you'd really need to order forces to take objectives, etc.

Anybody else, if you own at least HOI3 (the expansions would be better, obviously), you can sign up to be considered as a candidate for any of the above positions.

EDIT: Please don't vote on the above candidates yet; I want to give people some extra time to decide if they want to throw in or not. I'm going to extend this deadline to Monday at 10 PM CST (-6 GMT).

Honestly, I found FTM disappointing. They removed the reduce neutrality mission, and reduced resource values.

To me FTM added good things but also badly removed some things.It is good they added the wargoal system and a nice resistance system but they removed the decrease neutrality mission which for me was a bad decision because I got the game for sandbox but they removed it too

I've actually quite enjoyed it. I think they're still working on rebalancing threat and neutrality for future patches, but there's always cheating if you want to go full sandbox Still, probably best to keep general conversations on the merits of FTM outside of the thread.

I think, to better match the US political system, we will change confirmations. Instead of having everybody vote, we'll have "hearings" where the candidate will discuss his policy and any Senator can ask questions. Unless somebody blocks the nomination, we'll let it sail through. Any objections to this? I think it will give people more practical input while simultaneously speeding things up.

We have a majority voting for Gearing for War (by Tom's quorum), so I sign it into law (at the appropriate time). I will also consider Senator Newman's appointment confirmed. All we need now is to see if anybody else wants to throw their hat in the ring for the other open positions (Pacific Theater Commander, Atlantic Theater Commander, Chief of the Army). If they don't, we'll hold the hearings and go from there.

All parties or political figures who have any political connection to the Nazi regime in Germany or the Fascist regime in Italy will be banned.

Senator Sinclair,do you think that it is right to exit our isolationist stance that early?I'd like to say that America has just started preparing for war.I know you said not direct war but the Germans may respond to diplomatic pressure by WAR.I visited Hitler once in Germany and he was a bit raged about the other nations that had German cores AND the nations protecting them(GB and France).Also let's say that we go to War,how can we transfer our troops from one side of the Atlantic to the other when we don't have enough transports?

This is simply outrageous, do the actions of Fascist and National Socialist Parties overseas reflect the intentions of our own home-grown American fascism? As a member of the Silver Legion of America this bill would make my own party illegal, do I not have the basic human right to express my political beliefs? I cannot believe that any true American would seek to restrict the rights of certain segments of it citizens because of their personal distaste for the European regimes of Germany and Italy.

To address the second part of this bill "guaranteeing Poland's Independence", rather than guaranteeing Poland's Independence we should be assisting in the peaceful transfer of territories which traditionally belong to Germany, for proper compensation of course, all in order to limit the chances of another war. If at all possible we should be helping Germany and Poland to unite together to form a bastion against the darkness of the Bolshevik Hordes sitting at Poland's borders, let us not forget the attempted invasion by the Bolsheviks against the brave nation of Poland in the early 1920's.

Banning parties is more of a gray area -- technically, even in this timeline, there's just the two parties and some independents. Even McCarthy never outright banned the Communist Party during the '50s. Please re-write the bill in an appropriate way; for now, you can leave the stuff about banning the party, but not expelling all "political figures."
