as all they need is to provide serials.

As mentioned in the other pre-order thread the Gamersgate version is listed as DRM free, so doesn't use steam (it would say "3rd party account and download required" otherwise).

The pre access is steam only as (presumably) that is where the beta has been so everything is set up and ready to go there.

Well, checking up on my Gamersgate pre-order I just noticed Neocore/Paradox delayed the release on Gamersgate to an unknown date (currently listed as TBD).

So not only did those that didn't pre-order via Steam got screwed by not getting the early release, but now we even have the game postponed further???

Well there are some advantages to getting it from gamersgate instead of steam, you get blue coins that you can then spend to buy another game if you have collected enough (got about 5 or 6 games for free that way) and you get a no drm version that you can launch without having to run any launcher.

King Arthur II does look like a nice game but I think I will wait it out for now.
But I will keep a watchful eye. Besides I'm busy as it is with other games lol.
