Hello Misterbean, hope you're still around.

Please tell me that this is not the end of this great thread.

I read many AARs in here and yours is simply the best and most informative one. In fact, it is the one that convinced me to buy the game and I've been following your tutorial to the letter and always anxiously waited for your next update. Now I feel like I lost my guide while deep in a forest and that it will take a lot of trials and errors before I can even hope to find my way onto the right paths.

I really hope you'll find a way around those posting bugs. Maybe, like someone suggested, you can ask someone to post post for you, with all credits to you obviously, so that we can all benefit from your expertise. I even propose myself for this duty, if no one else, as my only wish is to keep benefiting from your teachings.

Also, sorry if my English is not perfect, it's a second language for me.

Thanks for reading this and sincerely hope to see you here again really soon.

    Regards.

What a terrific tutorial AAR, I certainly hope it can continue. I was very much looking forward how to appropriately manage an invasion with a breakdown of how combat works in practice! This excellent work by misterbean speeds up the learning curve tremendously, this is such an excellent resource! Thank you for all of your work and I hope you are able to continue!

Unfortunately, he can no longer post. There must be some sort of bug. Maybe someone else can take over?

ouch that is a big shame to hear, here's hoping there is a fix, as i have thoroughly enjoyed this thread no end. Are there any similar styled ones out there, I'm not adverse to paint by numbers helps with the learning?

Thank you Misterbean for posting this AAR. Its unfortunate to hear that it may not continue due to forum issues. Hopefully, you can get that fixed at some point and continue. Regardless, your work was a pleasure to read and is almost a requirement for new players (like myself) to go through at least once.

Best AAR so far, specially for beginners, I love it
So please find a way to continue...

Such a crying shame this AAR seemingly cant be continued. I read through all of it over the past couple of days and thought it was simply brilliant. I found the game incredibly daunting when I first bought it. I still do, truth be told, and only manage a game every so often. I manage to bumble my way through, but never really feel I actually know what the hell I am doing! Your AAR explained things so well, I am looking forward to my next game and hopefully having a bit more of a clue!

If there is anyway you can continue (including the earlier suggestion of typing it up in word and either allowing someone else to post it for you..or even offering the document for download) I am sure there are many of us who would be extremely happy. If not, such is life, but thanks for what you managed so far, it has been a great help mate.

    Cheers.

wow, I realise reading this on my first playful as Germany and also on Hard mode, how many tactical errors i've made along the way.

I've mangaged to take most of northern mainlyland Europe and Norway, although I only took France because the UK didn't turn up and Yugoslavia helped Italy. The 2 of them did most of the work. I've got an army of only 400k on the SU border, which is most likely going to get destroyed.

Spent so long with not enough rare materials, the early part of the game where I needed to get the trades incoming were where I went wrong.

He said that, this may be the end, not that it was.

But it's just hopeful optimism... it's always nice to see, in my opinion...

Ok, we'd all like misterbean to carry on but unless his problems of accessing the forum are resolved he obviously can't and posts asking for him to carry on won't make nay difference i'm afraid

oh my... finally i find an actual "how-to-play guide" (kinda "for dummies" :P) and you say misterbean can't post the rest of it? that's really dissapointing
I'm still in chapter 6, so i still dont know what happened. Well, i just wanted to thank him for his great work and understanding of the newbie player

It ends at the worst possible time, too. Just before all the hard work he's showed pays off, and the actual fighting begins.

I've not even touched the game since, it was that much of a bummer.

One of you mods may just want to lock this until MrBean gets his posting straightened out. It is just a spam thread now. Thanks.

I too found the green text difficult to read. However, by highlighting it the text turns to a blue on a white background.

Very Good, and Interesting, except the Green text is mildly annoying.
