In 1938? Then we steamroll him in two months. Boredom....I'll have a real challenging (and it means interesting) war only in 1941 or 1942, when Hitler has enough force and IC :)

Plus, this way you can be seen as the saviour of the Czechs, and they wont complain (Too much) when they are admitted to the glorious Russian Empire, all in the name of pretty borders!

I dunno. Of all the non-major europeans, Czechoslovakia is certainly the strongest. It can handle itself pretty well against most powers, probably long enough for you to save it if you really wanted to.

Chapter Three: 1936-1939
Part XIV: The big world and the little wars

In June the Japanese aggression against Chinese states reached its highest peak and the war broke out. Marco Polo incident became the formal reason for the war. Two Asian giants started fighting to death. To prevent Japanese aggression China formed a united front together with different warlord cliques.

The war!

China decided to transfer her industry to the interior to prevent it from the Japanese occupation, while the IJA launched a full-scale offensive chit.

First steps of war

In July another war began - colonial appetites of Italian empire became only higher during Mussolini's reign. Italian army decided to crush Ethiopia in a month or two - second Italo-Abyssinian war started.

Ethiopia was an Orthodox nation, and Russia protested against the war, but Mussolini didn't listen - he clearly realized that the Russians wouldn't involve themselves into the conflict. In China the Imperial Japanese Army continued aggressive invasion, and a lot of Chinese cities were in their hands - like Lingqiu which was captured on 9 of October.

But Japanese offensive faced hard resistance and courageous counter-attacks of the Chinese infantry. Both Kuomintang and Communist armies were badly equipped, but their will to fight was great.

Overview of the Far East

The USA finally awoke from the Great Depression - by November of 1937 the country returned to 1926 production levels. Roosevelt's new deal helped the American economy. The nation was back. Together with the American industry all other markets of the world started growing, including the Russian one.

We did it

On 19 of November Russian armed forces got their first armored brigade - equipped mostly with light tanks, this unit was very useful in the offensives and fast breakthroughs. General Markov, one of the main Russian tank commanders, said that it was a great day for the Russian military.

New year started with a coup in Austria, where Pro-Nazi leaders took all seats in the government and the parliament. The fate of Austria was quite clear - to become a part of the growing Greater German Reich...

After a few days Austria was totally annexed, and it was called "Anschluss", something like a "link-up". It was quite a cynic way to call this operation...

No more borders, we're one nation now

The war in Ethiopia wasn't going well for the defenders - in February 75% of Abyssinian territory was under Italian control, while Ethiopian army was losing every battle because of obsolete weapons (some squads were equipped with bows and arrows!), lack of any vehicles and aviation.

In Spain the civil war was going on - nationalists were controlling La Coruna and the republican army couldn't push them out of there. It was a stalemate.

"Ethiopia was an Orthodox nation, and Russia protested against the war, but Mussolini didn't listen - he clearly realized that the Russians wouldn't involve themselves into the conflict." Its an epic bitchslap to the tzars face!

Cordoba? i thoight cordoba is souht spain

So the Nationalists are reduced to Galicia and Asturias....man this sucks...but on the flip side we may have a Comintern nation in Spain...even if its temporary...

Will we be helping the Chinese before....the Japanese start killing them?

I did say that the Nationalists werent done yet. With that amount of divisions concentrated, they should be able to hold their ground.

Too bad for Ethiopia, but hopefully they'll be liberated by brotherly Russian Empire one day. Also, neat idea about using the pics from Blitzkrieg game. Hopefully, you'll manage to survive long enough to be able to use the pics from Cuban Missile Crisis.

4 months?! It's impossible even with my army (btw my army is not so huge - about 2,5 million, while most divisions are obsolete. Soviet Union during Stalin's era had 5-million peacetime army and 20-million wartime army :) )

P.S. And it wouldn't be challenging at all to beat the enemies in four months
