Is there any way you can see the Family tree of your dynasty to see whom is married to whom and who is the child of who, like the total war system?

ZipZopBoopityBop! With the Sniflin an the Snuflin!
Not in this game. In rome you can, but not in EUIII. But you can see your Heir, and former kings.
I think the main reason why this was not implemented is the amount of research it would require the cover the sheer scope of this game. Just scroll through time over Europe and see how many countries come and go, now imagine whole world, over 200+ dynasties over 400 years.
So comrades come, gather, last battle let us face, the Internationale unites the human race!

This is something that is in Crusader Kings, set roughly 1066-1400, and will be in Crusader Kings II when it comes out. These games focus much more on the individual rather than the country though, so it is only to be expected.

Just to clarify, it isn't just that it isn't shown; the tree simply does not exist. Marriages are really just bilateral treaties in game terms; there are no specific individuals involved.

Is there also a Paradox title around the "Völkerwanderung" timespan after 400 AD? I would love to play Visigoths, Vandals, Suebi etc.
There is EU: Rome, but I'm not sure of the time period involved. However, there may well be mods either for Rome or for EU III that cover your desired period.

ubergold, You shoulr check out Dr.Quins Steppe Wolf Mod
It goes from 11 A.D - 2100 A.D

EU:R ends at the fall of the Republic.
AirotciV (Steppe Wolf) is a mod for EU3 that you might like. I think that's the only mod going that far back for DW (though watch for Latinia Universalis, that may well be back out for DW soon). The Dark Years is set a bit later than what you stated, but it's also for EU3 (might not be out for DW yet)
